Gorgeous and awe inspiring!
Mom was born there. I whored out as racing crew and sailed there for a few summers.Gorgeous and awe inspiring!
Generally thought to be an ice-free port, but sometimes it gets cold enough to put a little ice in the harbor. Not currently, though. My friends with sailboats always pulled their boats from the water for winter. These were all 34' LOA or under..I'm intrigued by the sailing boats. Does the sea water freeze?
Interesting they still use stickers. Alberta did away with them, no longer needed on plates. Fees still apply though, and of course, valid registration.
Annual registration fees on things like that just frost my ass. What's next? Tractors? Lawn mowers? F****** fundraisers.Well, it's easy enough to see a sticker and not have to have people fumble around for registrations in the cold. Law abiding people don't need to be stopped and bothered to show their papers.
Here, the reg fee pays for state maintained and groomed trails which a lot of folks use. You need the sticker to run on state-owned lands. It's not enforced out in the villages where people need machines for their livelihood.Annual registration fees on things like that just frost my ass. What's next? Tractors? Lawn mowers? Works well there I guess. Here they have trail side checks for full docs and sobriety, including breathalizers.Well, it's easy enough to see a sticker and not have to have people fumble around for registrations in the cold. Trailside checks? That wouldn't go over well here.Works well there I guess. Here they have trail side checks for full docs and sobriety, including breathalizers.
Beautiful! Reminds me of when I lived on Babine Lake in BC. Dogs and fish, especially ling cod and rabbit suateed together with wine, and root veggies. A little more mountainous than this, but you get the pic.
