I'm glad you like it. I like it for the novelty. (But to call it "awesome" -- not once, but twice -- feels like a bit of an overstatement! *blush*)

The place was overrun with (mostly pre-pubescent) nerds and nerdettes. The few post-high-school-age visitors I observed were either chaperoning children or discussing fuel burn rates & comparing them to modern commercial aircraft or top-fuel dragsters.

I wonder if I looked as nerdy to *them* as they did to *me*?

I have a fascination for tall things. Now mind you, I don't go to the top of tall things (well, excluding some *tall* things ), but I'm in awe of them all the same.

So if I visit there I should wear my glasses and pigtails?

As humble as the outside looks, the inside is quite nice and the food is surprisingly fine.

Be sure and get your reservations in early, for Sally's is only open eight hours per week: 5-9PM Fri & Sat

Parking is around back and enter through the side door, so you don't have to step over the flower pots.

Sorry, y'all. I've been traveling. And I've been sick. I caught a cold/flu bug last week and it's really been kicking my ass the last few days. Every time I think I feel better and get the least bit active it wipes me right back out.

I've been taking PM-variety multi-symptom cold medicine and just sleeping it off, trying to let my body do its thing.

You've been awfully kind and awfully patient during my "dry spell" while I've been traveling. I think that deserves to be rewarded. Here are a handful from more than a month ago that I never posted:

Still down South, but not really "traveling". I'm holed up in a cabin on some property we own down here. I've been using this as a base for my bike adventures.

I'll be heading back North soon, though. Probably Sunday night or Monday morning.

It's time I head home.
