Not Your Average Photo Thread

Ever have a song or a phrase in your head you just couldn't shake?

"Bring a switch!" is the phrase that's been on my mind the last couple of days.

Pretty crude/primitive snapshots, I know. The slight motion blur is deliberate.

You know what? You need to lighten up. They're beautiful pictures.

I love the clean colours. The pictures are fresh, innocent - so far.

LOL!

I just mean that the lighting isn't carefully pre-arranged & staged, studio style. That's generally what I mean by "snapshot".

*g*

You took something so normal and made it erotic. You're a naughty boy CTY!

oh my cowboy...fantastic! i love this one...i can just imagine standing in front of you, having presented my switch, and waiting as you assess it, hoping it meets your approval...*sigh*

and my apologies for my vocab slip in my previous post. i only hope it doesn't earn me a swat with one of those *grin*

I am very happy that you like them.

I have to think that to an outsider who hasn't been privy to the discussion, there's absolutely nothing sexy or erotic about these images.

A little bit of mental priming makes all the difference, yes?

A new record level of "Not-Average-ness"?

I'm sure your switch would be fine. That's part of the delicious tension of that command, I think: your inclination to select something that won't hurt *too badly*, balanced in opposition to your knowledge that you dare not come back with something insultingly inadequate (in my view).

It's a balancing act, a tightrope walk, that is performed in preparation/anticipation of the actual deed.

Asking you to select and fetch the implement of your own pleasure/punishment makes you something of an accomplice or an accessory, yes?

See? These are all the things that have been going through my head and why I can't seem to escape that pesky phrase.

you've never been average cowboy

...and i'm finding it to be a delightful phrase and image to roll over in my mind now, not pesky at all. it would be incredibly erotic to be wandering the woods, searching for a switch, knowing that you were waiting to gauge it and then...mmm...

again...i'll say, oh my...*blush*

Hey CT, love these pics, can you be my gardener, I so will award you:D
Love them,........ there sensual in a darn lost for words, can I explain in Flemish,........
Hope there more to come
:kiss::kiss::kiss:

<-- can't think of a job I'd like LESS than to be someone's gardener. *g*

I prefer work that "stays done" longer. Let me rebuild a truck motor, construct a piece of fine furniture, or build a stone wall or walkway. Those things LAST when you're done.

Gardening? You just start over.

But I very much appreciate the offer. I wager the fringe benefits of working for you would be amazing. ;)

Hi CT
now this really grabs me...... it's deliciously wicked and so very sexy.
I just love your b and w pics . They are on another level.
mrsq xx

It's hard to see/appreciate the body position from the photo that I uploaded. I think that's partly why I like it -- the slightly abstract nature. Hard to tell precisely what's a wrist, what's an ankle, which way is up, etc.

I was in that "W" position that got mentioned/showcased in another thread a few days ago. Wrists & ankles bound together: left to left, etc. Heels back by the bum.

The rope is natural fiber sisal. VERY scratchy. I don't recommend it, unless you're extremely unhappy with your play partner. Or unless comfort just isn't a priority. I chose it for the appearance, which I find extremely pleasing.

Another image with the sisal-fiber rope. A slightly looser crop, so maybe a bit easier to orient your mind:

(For those who absolutely need to *know* what they're looking at: top right is the back of my left hand; bottom left is the outboard side of my left ankle; extreme lower right is my left thigh.)

And a random image done on a dare yesterday in another thread, in honor of the SCOTUS decision on Washington D.C. handgun ownership.

HI CT
This might give better orientation to those who do not look at what is before them, but it has taken an awful lot away from the original picture.
The sisal rope is great it has a super rough fraying texture , contrasting with the skin
this really is a super image and i hope you are really pleased with it

What kind of camera did you use to take these. They are both very nice, love the slighly out of focus shot... Please post more.

Thanks again for the comments, mrsq.

Yes, I personally like the tighter crop better. Some folks, however, found it sufficiently "disorienting" that I uploaded the second exposure. (They are actually different exposures, btw, and not merely different crops of the same exposure.)

I am pleased with this image on several levels:

  • I like the overall composition, the underlying "X" beneath the opposing diagonal elements
  • the contrasting textures: rope to skin, and even skin to skin (hand to calf, calf to ankle)
  • Even proud of the rope work: the tidiness of the adjacent loops, the fact that the loops won't/don't tighten no matter how hard you pull, the generally pleasing aesthetics. (Especially considering it was done solo/unassisted.)

Since it's my trade, I have more cameras than most people have underwear.

Like most craftsmen, I use different tools for different jobs -- and choosing the appropriate tool is part of the craftsmanship. (Just ask Tiger Woods.)

I'm not clear which image(s) you're referring to when you say "these", nor which one you're calling "slightly out of focus" (as there are several).

In any case, try not to give *the camera* too much credit. Some of my favorite images of all time were made with lens-less pinhole devices built from coffee cans, oatmeal cartons. shoeboxes, etc.

Thanks for stopping by; and I'll surely be posting more. Hope to hear from you again.

"Oh, dear...have I been bad?"

That's the first thing that went through my mind when I saw this, and the other switch pics.

Very nice job, CT...I love the sisal rope pics, as well, the texture of the B&W is awesome, gritty looking. I love it... :)
:rose:

Wonderful photos as always CT  I hope life has been treating you well ... it looks like you've gotten to enjoy a bit of the outdoors lately. The "switch" brings so many ideas to mind. ;)

Oh, my.

Excellent colour choice.

IT';s tequila time!

MMMMMMMMM love this to,........I would more say, its :kiss::kiss: a cute butt,..........

Have a great week-end CT, and thanks for the pics this week, you sure let someone smile and dreaming

Nice to make your acquaintance, Kitty.

Pleased that you saw it the way you did, even before reading the discussion.

Welcome, and hope to see you again.
