Nothing serious tonight. Just playing around a bit. Going for different moods from the very same image, along with some unconventional croppings/borders.

Probably the safest, most mainstream treatment:

A bit more sinister/dangerous feeling?

A more brownish tone (unknown feeling?)

i like the sinister one by a long way. a very stark mage but very nice.

I'll need to excavate the film scanner which is buried in an obscure corner of the office, since it hasn't been used in quite a while. *blush*

There seems to be a real mix of responses about the "shirt vs. shirtless" thing.

I was shaving (for various reasons) in the *evening*, which was highly unusual. The whole project was a 5-minute lark, totally impulsive.

And I very much regret that I didn't take an additional 1-2 minutes to fire off some shirtless frames, so as to have it both ways.

What was I thinking?

How very appealing! Who knew something so simple could be so stimulating? I like the brown toned one the best. Clothed, not clothed, I don't care. Sexy either way.

I couldn't NOT include that one in the assortment. (Pardon my double-negative.)

It has a "Jack the Ripper" mood about it, doesn't it? Somewhere in my prop collection I have an antique straight-razor, which I think would have made the sinister version even better.

The unusual diagonal crop -- forced by my desire to crop out my reflected face -- was a big part of the fun & challenge in presenting this image.

I needed a diagonal crop, but I wanted the mirror to remain vertical, the "horizon" level if you will, etc.

The funky border treatment was my solution to this riddle, and not an effort to increase the "sexy" factor. It was a purely practical decision. If you're able to articulate it, I'd be curious to hear how it feels "sexy" to you. Maybe I could use that in future images.

i've pretty much left the GB, i don't care for the turn it has taken over there. The women seem to feel the need to compete for attention. No one posts much to me there anymore. Maybe if it ever returns to normal, goes back to the GB that i used to love, i'll return but for now, i'm hiding in my pic thread.

Been pretty hairy so far with severe (wet) weather Friday night and all day Saturday.

And when the rain/flooding subsided, the wind (50+ mph) commenced -- along with the corresponding broken tree limbs & power outages.

I played & sang my way through college and across Europe. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Purely for fun these days, and not frequently enough at that.

Just too darn many hobbies & interests. It's hard to give them ALL the time that they deserve.

Perhaps try and put some baby oil on your skin first. This might make the water bead up.

Vitamin E oil has been the best so far.

The challenge has been in how to *apply* the water. Mist from a spray bottle has been too fine and doesn't give the appearance I'm after.

What I really want to try is a bottle with a "sprinkler" head on it, like my Mother used to use during ironing back in the 60's. Looked sorta like a mini watering can. But I haven't found such a thing in my recent searching.

Also experimenting with different mixes of water & glycerine.

I should shut up. I'm giving away my secrets, and I'm going to spoil the "natural looking" effect of the images if/when they finally get made.
