Not Your Average Photo Thread

Sounds like a good photographer's good luck ;)

*shrug*

Thanks, Pleaz.

Honestly, that's how it goes more often than not -- in outdoor/nature photography, anyway.

Maybe the photographer's skill is in *recognizing* the good fortune when it occurs.

At the risk of sounding like I'm tooting my own horn, what really strikes me about these images is the contrast between the warm/golden light on the foreground (including on the black hat -- there are even golden highlights there) vs. the cool/blue light on the shaded, snow-covered background.

That's the kind of thing that only God creates; and I'm just lucky to encounter and recognize it from time to time.

I do like the contrasts ... actually the hat looked as if it was more of a brownish color. Interesting.

As far as the background ... I have to admit I paid no attention to it ... I was more intent with the subject in the photo ;)

He creates many more images that we could ever capture in a photograph.

Morning handsome.

So love the new pics.
There great, so want to rip off the t-shirt.......
Reading that it took a long time to take them, well there great.
Love the hat to,........
Any leather pants and boots that go with the oufit:D

LOVE THEM

Reading that it took a long time to take them . . .

Honestly? It didn't take long at all. Only about two minutes.

What took a long time was finding the *right* two minutes in which to shoot. ;)

I'm glad you like them. :rose:

That's the golden light falling on and reflecting off the black wool.

Colored light does change the appearance/color of the things it falls on.

Cool, huh? :rose:

You definitely have an excellent eye for a great shot. In reality I prefer the non smoker but in fantasy you look so damn good with the smoke ;)

Thankyou for coming to visit me in my thread too, it was great to see you there.

I hope you are having a good Tuesday and will look forward to some more classy shots from you.

Very cool. I wonder if the right lights reflecting on me could change my appearance. :p

Seriously though ... I thought of you this morning when I looked out my bedroom window and the sunshine was trying to break through the gloomy sky. It created such a unique light ... almost erie in a way. If I had been quicker I'd have gotten out of bed and taken a photo of the sky ... but why would I want to get out of bed?

In view of all the warm words, here's another:

I'm somewhat ambivalent about this photo. (Scanned from a black and white film negative; duotone added in Photoshop)

I like the idea; I'm less pleased with the execution.

The skin texture reminds me just a bit of concrete.

Constructive critique is welcomed.

I just had a very strong desire to lick that throat.

this is a super pic
skin like water rippled sand ......... very nice

Thank you, mrsq.

I think on a slow day I might dig out those old negatives and re-scan them.

I've gotten a lot smarter about digital imaging since I scanned that one; we might both be very surprised at how different it could look.

As creative and handsome as ever. Would love to see it remastered too :rose:
Thanks sweetie :rose: x

Nothing serious tonight. Just playing around a bit. Going for different moods from the very same image, along with some unconventional croppings/borders.

Probably the safest, most mainstream treatment:

A bit more sinister/dangerous feeling?

A more brownish tone (unknown feeling?)

Oh Em Gee. I love to watch men shave, I thought I was crazy! Did someone ask for pics like this?

Nope. No special request.

Just a thought that struck me . . .

I like watching a woman dressing, getting ready to take on the world or go out on the town (either one).

I thought it might be similar in reverse, but wasn't sure.

These didn't seem especially "suggestive" or "sexy", but I decided to risk including them anyway. (Coulda shaved naked, I suppose . . . ;))

Which version strikes your fancy?

MMMMMM now this is a wonderful start of the morning waking up with these pics.
They are great. Feel like i m watching you shave right now
And no the effect would have been gone if you would have shaved nude.
Thanks CT.

How very appealing! Who knew something so simple could be so stimulating? I like the brown toned one the best. Clothed, not clothed, I don't care. Sexy either way.:rose:
