Following the nonindictment of Officer Daniel Pantaleo for the lethal arrest of Eric Garner last July, de Blasio said that Garner’s death and the grand jury’s failure to indict sprung from “not years of racism . . . , or decades of racism, but centuries of racism.” The mayor worries “every night,” he said, about the “dangers” his biracial son, Dante, may face from “officers who are paid to protect him.”

In other words, de Blasio thinks that his son is at risk of injury or death from an NYPD officer every time he steps outside at night. And he sees the officers who tried to arrest a resisting Garner as the culmination of centuries of racism, even though the shopkeepers in the area who had been urging the police to clear up lawlessness were mostly minorities themselves.

It is impossible to overstate how inflammatory and ignorant de Blasio’s statements are. De Blasio’s pronouncements were merely a wordier version of the protest chants against “killer cops” and belonged to the national frenzy of cop-bashing that provoked the assassination of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.

Since those cop murders, de Blasio has been furiously back-pedaling. He called the NYPD the “greatest and finest police department on this Earth” at the Police Academy graduation on Monday, and said that “it takes a special kind of person to put their lives on the line for others.”

But as long as de Blasio’s earlier claims hang out there unretracted, the overcompensation is simply insulting. Both propositions cannot be true: Dante cannot be in daily “danger” from the NYPD because of his skin color, while at the same time the NYPD is the finest police department on Earth.

So don’t apologise for spelling out the reality of the Eric Garner case.

It was an incident that shamed the NYPD, shamed New York, and shamed America.

It was also another clear message to New York’s black community that you have to be very careful when interacting with certain rogue members of the NYPD. To pretend otherwise is to ignore what we all saw on that hideous video.

A disturbing New York Daily News investigation last month revealed that at least 179 people have been killed by the NYPD in the last 15 years.
Where race was known, 86% were either black or Hispanic.

27% of those killed were unarmed.

The stats don’t lie.

The abuse that you’re now facing is a small price to pay for being right, Mr Mayor.

Don’t be a boring white guy. That’s not why you were elected.

Graffiti threatening to kill police was found in Queens Monday, sources said .

It comes amid a rash of violence against members of the NYPD.

Two officers were shot responding to a robbery Monday night and, on Dec. 20, Detectives Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were killed while sitting in their patrol car in Brooklyn.

The department has also fielded dozens of threats against police in recent weeks and made several arrests.

The graffiti that reads “PSA-9 ‘n’ 107 Pct R Next to Die” was spotted in the basement of a building at the Pomonok Houses on Parsons Boulevard, near 65th Avenue, sources said.

Police Commissioner Anthony Batts has called the incident alarming. Batts said he is ordering security changes throughout the department and is calling a meeting of other agency chiefs over the next few days.

“An organized gang in the city of Baltimore sent an armed suspect into our building to see our security, to test our security. That is alarming to us, to me. I am going to send a message that we are not going to cower, we’re not going to back down,” Batts said.

The BGF is the same gang who was literally running the corrupt Baltimore City Jail—one of the scandals that has plagued Martin O’Malley’s term as governor. The BGF also appears connected to the recent execution of two NYPD officers.

Anti-Cop Fanatics Loosening Lug Nuts On NYPD Patrol And Personal Cars…

NYPD haters have turned to a more cowardly method of taking out city cops — by loosening or completely removing lug nuts from their person and work cars to try causing fatal crashes, The Post has learned.

The most recent example of the anti-cop sabotage was discovered around 8 p.m. on Tuesday by an officer about to enter his private vehicle on De Kalb Avenue near Patrol Borough Brooklyn North headquarters.

The cop first noticed his windshield wipers had been tampered with, prompting him to give the car a quick once-over after remembering previous instances where lug nuts had been loosened on patrol cars.

He saw that all four tires had loosened lug nuts, and immediately alerted his supervisor. A team of officers were sent to check other police vehicles in the area.

Investigators found that lug nuts were loosened on another officer’s personal car parked in a “Police Only” zone, as well as a civilian employee’s car which had its lugs completely removed.

Police then searched parking lots in the area around Patrol Borough Brooklyn North Headquarters and found that lug nuts had been loosened on two unmarked NYPD vehicles in a lot used by police supervisors.

“Things have gotten so bad between the police and the community,” a law enforcement source told The Post, referring to the rift caused by the execution of two cops in retaliation for the police killing of Eric Garner. “I’ve never seen it this bad.”

“They’re doing this obviously in an attempt to hurt police officers,” he continued. “By loosening the lug nuts, the tires could fall off the car, and the cops could crash their car.”
