Seriously, though, if anyone has a problem with anything I wrote, I can change it. I kinda jumped to the hyperspace jump because I'll be gone 'til Sunday, and I didn't want anyone to be left hanging because of my absense. Feel free to write whatever posts you want about what your chars were doing leading up to the jump. I plan on doing one about Gavin Darklighter (or Angelus could do one for the entire squadron), and Tynan if and when I can tomorrow morning.

Again, if anyone has a problem with what I wrote, EVERYTHING is open to change.

Raine's going down, MIA but not necessarily dead. Probably not, but why close the possibility off? I figure, it'll be a clouded planet, one with a thick atmosphere, breathable to give her a chance to live, but not clear enough to gather life signals. If you want to report an explosion as the X-Wing strikes down, go right ahead...
Oh, and can someone give me the name or location of a site where I can find some info. on the Jedi Trials?

From all the info that has been gathered so far (again, not completely solid, since Lucas is still creating the rules somewhat). The Jedi Council oversees a group of tests that turn a padawan into a full fledged Jedi knight.
These test a jedi's every skill he would need in just about every situation. Telekinesis, saber fighting against those flying robot ball things, clarity of mind, strength of the body, even diplomatic knowledge and problem solving.
They test just about anything and everything.
Although, a jedi can sort of bypass these tests by doing something to prove to the council how strong they are. Obi Wan didn't need to take the trials, because he defeated Darth Maul.
That's what I gathered from my friend. Any other specific questions, just ask.

He believes that he is most useful training future Jedi and preparing them for their tenures as Padawan-learners, and has proven his abilities as a teacher many times in the past, producing some of the best Jedi currently serving the Council, which he himself serves on.

An accomplished Jedi Master, Marlik came from the planet Ryloth, where his people, especially the female, are known for their grace and beauty. Muscularly built, Marlik used the athleticism and grace, as well as the concentration, involved in his roots (dance) to build an astounding skill with the lightsaber. Quiet, but strong in prescence, Marlik has become well-respected, and almost unequaled with his dueling ability.
He has been missing for three years, himself and his padawan at the time vanishing on a mission near Tattooine. Though many of his former students (including Raine DuVall) swear he has not perished, optimism of his safe return is quickly fading.

Well, I guess this is what I'd like to play then.

Name: Doprekka
Race: Wookie
Gender: Male
Age: 70years


A young wookie, he was brought into the jedi order as an infant, found by a travelling jedi master and found to posess an extremely hi midi-chlorian count within his bloodstream. Raised by matrons within the council, when he had come of age he took to his Jedi training. He has trained now for 65 years as a padawan learner, and is quite adept with his dual crystal lightsabre. (used like a two handed greatsword.) His heritage as a wookie has set him back in his training many a time due to the inherant rage felt by all wookies in times of stress. Yet, now he has progressed extremely well and is known among his people as the "quiet storm". Peaceful and serene his honor bound life and existence is perfectly in tune with the Jedi code, compassion for his fellow man and the honor to do what is right are his cornerstones. Thusly he strives, if humbly to earn his status of master alongside his teacher.


Hope this is passable.

As for his lightsabre. Basically it's just got a longer hilt to accomodate his larger than normal hands and a longer blade, comporable to a claymore, or greatsword, at least to human size, to him its a slightly larger than average length blade. The blade and crystals are also a ocean blue color.

His physical description: Not exceptionally tall, at least among his people. He is however quite the handsome beast to many of the wookie'ettes back home. With golden wheat colored fur with black highlights, and dark brown eyes. That perfect lil black nose, and big wide mouth capable of a sparkling smile or a stoic look. Though he's more apt to be stoic. Seeing as his communication is along the lines of the wookies with his simple vocal chord construction, he is more the strong silent type. He wears the plain robes of the jedi, and has the typical padawan braid done into his fur at the side of his head.
