What are you using as a word processor? Save the file as a .txt or whatever it is you need to upload here. Most word processors have multiple file forms that they will save to.

Images uploaded from your hard drive show as a clickable link. It saves the site resources by not producing the image every time someone clicks on a page.

Images hosted off site will be shown as the image itself because the image is being supplied by someone else. Things to watch out for, not all image hosts allow pornographic content, so if that is the nature of your images, make sure you choose an appropriate host.

1) If the story is in the body of an email, copy the text from your email and paste it into the story submission form. Proofread and edit to make sure everything (formatting, grammar, spelling, etc.) is correct before you submit it.

If the story is in an email attachment (like a Word document), open it up, edit it, save it as plain text, look it over to make sure everything is correct again, and then copy and paste it into the submission form. Check it over once again to make sure everything shows up correctly (I believe there's a preview on the next page after you click the first Submit button, but don't quote me on that).

2) We have detailed instructions on posting images (including hotlinking/inserting them directly into posts) and a bunch of other stuff that would probably be helpful to you in our FAQ's Read Before Posting sticky. That thread is "stuck" to the top of the main How To forum page, but you also may want to bookmark the link above for future reference. If you have a forum logistics-type question, you can probably find the answer in there a lot quicker than you can get it from making a thread. :)

Make sure all of your images follow Lit's Image Posting Guidelines, which are in the stickies at the top of the AmPics forum.
