OKC would work. not that far of a drive for us....about 2 1/2 hours i believe

spring would be good
weekend a must (so we could take the daughter to the grandparents...she's there every weekend anyway)

having it maybe during the day and into the eve. find some place where we can all hang out and then maybe do dinner or something

making sure that people know it is just to get together and hang out and is in no way, shape, or form for anything sexual (if people want to go off together later for such things, fine...but it should mainly be just to get together and hang out for a bit)

hmm...that's all i can think of for now

added thought...

maybe rent a banquet room at a hotel or something....have it where it's closed off and private...maybe have some one cater food in. some place like that, where we could linger around, sit, talk, yada yada

of course, would depend on how many people are going to come

if its just a really small group, then maybe a restaurant instead that has a private area

I guess the common vote is for OKC then.... Yes, the weekend is a must for me, a Saturday perferrably and for me it HAS to be a Saturday in which the ex has the kids, which happens every other weekend...

Yes, I like the idea of meeting in one place in the early afternoon, or right at noon... we all stay at the first location for a time... park, lake, or something inside... then go off to have dinner,that way late arrivals will have a chance to meet up with all of us either at the first location or at dinner...

Yes, this isn't a lit-orgy, it's a get together, a chance to put real faces (not pictures) to all the people we talk to.... if you want to get it on with someone that's for later not at the get together!!!

It seems we have the MAIN location, now we just gotta figure out the first location and then dinner location... keeping in mind I'm sure many of us are on a budget so a fancy resturant would not be a good plan...

Once we have all of that figured out, then I'll make up invitations

The one thing I want to keep in mind is our Okie lit lurkers... there are several that make themselves known but just don't post, or they just lurk... I don't want it to be a thing were we have to have a head count, you know where everyone HAS to RSVP.... just show up, type of thing...

I'm thinking set the location for OKC. If other people from other states want to come, so be it. Would be nice to meet as many peeps as possible (but a small get together would be fine as well)

I'm thinking no to the sports thing. Needs to be someplace where everyone can mingle and talk and whatnot.

Of course there doesn't have to be a head count, but would be nice to have an estimated idea of how many are coming just so you know how big of a room it will need to be for whatever location is reserved. I was even thinking name tags would probably be a good idea (with the Lit and first name)

If hubby and I can make it to this thing for sure (which I'll know that once I know when it might be and whatnot) I'll be happy to help out with such things as making name tags up and whatever else. (of course, if it's just a small gathering, those won't really be necessary)

Once my mom's side of the family (large family) had a christmas party at this hotel in their reception room.... we could have something like that... The people that are definitely going to show up could contribute to pay for a place such as this... our family paid for it with everyone putting in five dollars, but we have a large family....

Or it could be at a local small bar.... something not too crowded... name tags would be cool, lit name and real name....

Well, I would vote for T-town as well, since I wouldn’t have to travel, but as the starter of this menagerie I’m trying to remain impartial.

I'd like to make another suggestion, that the place we pick perhaps have a band or at least a good jute box, with a dance floor.... though I'd say no country music, I can't do steps, 1 or 2....

Music with a good ass wiggling pelivic grinding beat... where it doesn't matter if you know how to dance or not, cause we'd all look like we're having an epileptic fit! *grinz*

Though I'd say no dance clubs where it's a bunch of sweaty writhing bodies squished out on the dance floor... though enjoyable in some cases a large crowd would probably keep us from conversation....

Have any place in mind? What month would you prefer, April or May....

I probably wouldn't be able to do June because my sister is coming out sometime that month for a visit... and though I understand she's a party girl, I don't want to drag her into the world of literotica... just for the weirdness factor I suppose...
