If I have a vote I would of course pick OKC since I live nearby, but if it is not going till happen until April or later, I would be willing to get a cheaper motel or hotel room, wherever , so I would not have to drive...since I plan to party !!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of hotels...me and the BF plan on getting one that night... once we all decided on which night...
He lives in OKC with me in Tulsa... but we don't wanna go back to his place with roommates...
Okay as far as deciding a day... lemme see...
For April and May my available weekends are April 2nd-3rd and 16th-17th and 30th-May 1st...
Then for May available weekends are 14th-15th and 28th-29th....
So everyone look at your calendar and see which of these dates would be best...

Since I'll be traveling by bus most likely... since car is a piece of something... and BF will be saving for hotel room and all...
I'll be in OKC around 3pm or a little earlier... If ex-hubby pulls something and I have to take a later bus, then I won't be in until 8pm... but I'll try desprately hard to make sure he doesn't pull anything..
So perhaps we start the party (where ever we decide it will be at) at 5 o'clock until when ever...
If we all meet at one location to start off, then perhaps around 7:30pm or so we'd all go out to eat... this would give late arrivals a chance to show up...
Or we could just meet a one specific place and just stay there...
You'll will have to help me with that since I don't know OKC all that well...
Where ever we decide, then one of you OKC'ers are going to have to call to make sure there's room enough and also if we have to pay for the room..

That's a perfect place if I remember correctly. Haven't been there in awhile. Last I saw, the loft is HUGE, so it would accomidate everyone. They have good music playing. They also have pool and darts and pretty good beer. They also have bands there if we wanted to stay for that.
It's also right in bricktown, so the hotels in OKC are right around the corner.
And it's only like 15 minutes from my house and I'm a selfish bastard... hahahaha

We opened our doors in 1992, since then we have become one of Oklahoma City’s most popular places to eat, drink and be entertained.
Before housing the B2, this restored warehouse was previously a wholesale grocery and a candy factory. The building itself was built in 1903 during a time of economic development in the Oklahoma City area. OKC's most recent restoration project, MAPS, has added a ballpark, canal riverwalk and construction continues on a new sports arena.
In the nine years since our opening, we have renovated three times in order to meet our growing customer demands. We can currently seat 700 people in our downstairs dining and upstairs banquet rooms. In our private banquet rooms we can accommodate up to 300 for business meetings or parties. In addition to our dining facilities, we were one of the first restaurants to offer dinner and cocktail cruises on the B1 Canal.
We offer a variety of live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. We have set the stage for numerous national bands, including the Dixie Chicks, Creed, and The Doobie Brothers. We are also the favorite stage for many local bands including Wakeland, Banana Seat and Molly’s Yes. Live music is not all that we offer, we also have 13 billiards tables, 4 big screen TVs, over 20 interactive video games, electronic darts and shuffleboard. All of this offers fun for the entire family.
We have three of our signature beers on tap year round, including Copperhead Amber Ale, Bison American Wheat and Red Brick Ale. We also offer other popular beers such as: Land Run Lager, Black Gold Stout, Rock Island Rail Ale and India Pale Ale. We have bottled and sold our Copperhead Amber Ale in local grocery and convenience stores for just over two years. Most recently, we began offering our handcrafted beer to-go in a growler. A growler is a half-gallon glass jug that can be purchased and refilled with any of our current beers on tap.

May 25th is hubby and my anniversary. i don't know if we're going to have anything planned for that weekend or not (my guess would be nothing big if we did...the main plan is to try and head down to New Orleans maybe in June when the daughter is out of school for the summer..as a late anniversary gift for ourselves)
i think the restaurant/bar sounds like a great idea. hubby and i don't ever really drink (ocassionally we might), so as long as it's kind of a restaurant type place and not full on bar, i think that sounds fine.

How about you and your hubby can kidnap J for the night while I kidnap Eshy? Then we can all get our way! I may be able to make it april 2nd... but out of all the weekends you listed that's the only night that I could make it at all. I would have to drive there on less than 6 hours of sleep though after getting home from a 12 hour shift at work
Actually the weekend after that is better for me, the 9th and 10th. I have 1 week off of work per month and thats right in the middle of it, so I wouldnt have to worry about wrecking my car and I'd actually be rested. Otherwise it's going to be hard for me to come.

May 25th is hubby and my anniversary. i don't know if we're going to have anything planned for that weekend or not (my guess would be nothing big if we did...the main plan is to try and head down to New Orleans maybe in June when the daughter is out of school for the summer..as a late anniversary gift for ourselves)
i think the restaurant/bar sounds like a great idea. hubby and i don't ever really drink (ocassionally we might), so as long as it's kind of a restaurant type place and not full on bar, i think that sounds fine.
since we probably won't drink, i don't know if we'll just drive on home or go ahead and stay somewhere for the night *looks at J...* hehehe
i'm still also thinking it shouldn't be limited to just Okies..hehe...i think if there's others in Kansas or surrounding areas and they don't mind making the trip, they should be welcome as well. it's not every day that you can get a bunch of Litsters together after all
The weekend after the 25th would be great, it would give us plenty of time to plan and get the word out to everyone... I think perhaps that's what's been wrong with the lit-togethers in our area in the past is lack of notification to everyone...
I probably won't be drinking either... the only drink I really like is a mudslide and I'm doubting if a brewery serves mixed drinks.... I just hope they have diet Dr. P! *makes mental note to call down there*
Oh yes, if anyone knows someone anyone from the midwest that can make it... please advertise advertise! Perhaps I'll make changes to my advertising sig line *grinz*

Well, Mark the BF and me don't have bundles of cash in the slightest... we plan to go to some other area for a hotel... can't do the high priced thing... we're hoping to find something for $40 to $45 per night.... Or maybe less depending on what we can save up and also have left over after dinner

What about May the weekend of 28th and 29th could you get that week off?
It would be really difficult for me to get the ex to take the kids on a weekend that's not already his... He feels the need to tell me of all his sexual conquests but he won't hear anything of any relationships or whatnot I'm in and will do anything he can (I believe) to thwart any date plans I have..
I mentioned to him that I was trying to organize a lit-together (he used to be a member when he still had a computer and no he definitely won't be coming).. and he said "Oh yeah I'm gonna help you go to a big orgy! I think not! " I told him it wasn't like that but he won't believe...
*slaps hands* I'm rambling again....
Anyways, that's why I'm hoping.. crossing fingers, knocking on wood, and everything else... that it can be on a weekend where I don't have children so that way I don't have to tell him anything.... plus my parents will be like "you are letting the ex have the kids an extra weekend! What you don't have enough free time!" (and no the parents won't watch kids)

That weekend has the same circumstances as the april 2nd weekend I was talking about... but I could work it out.
Eshy and I were talking on the phone today and i was telling her I'd just try to get the friday before the trip off of work. That way I get to be in OKC for 2 weekends pestering her every chance I get!
And no matter how much she will eventually want to get rid of me it won't stop me from doing it... Women at the lit-together beware
