The cartoon below inspired me to listen to some Grateful Dead.
The Grateful Dead - Touch of Grey
Saw Boz (along w Van Morrison) at JazzFest ‘19 (50th year they held it) in New Orleans. His voice was still strong then and his playing was phenomenal! As was Van the Man! My wife was at the Al Green show. For some reason the dipsticks at JF put them opposite each other.Birthday wishes to Boz Scaggs, born this day, June 8, 1944, 80 years young! This is one of my favorites of his; it sounds like Toto because they played on the album.
Boz Scaggs - Breakdown Dead Ahead
This song just popped into my head. I haven’t heard it in years….
Yeah… I used to crank this up in my car..
Autograph - Turn Up The Radio
I certainly don't think it's a masterpiece or anything... I just like the song. Sometimes simple, loud, in your face with tons of distortion puts me in a better mood.Decent song, the guitar work during the intro is what makes it really stand out for me.
I just posted that song about an hour ago on another thread... after not having listened to it in years (literally). How funny to see it again today.
Excellent choice!!!!Birthday wishes to Carly Simon, born this day, June 25, 1943, 81 years young! It'd be too easy to go with You're So Vain or Nobody Does it Better as song choices. This one, however, is one of my favorites and was her first big hit, and sadly never gets played anymore.
