In the early 90’s, I was going through a period of total disgust at what was on the radio. And I stumbled onto a Garth Brooks song, and ended up with a CD and was delighted by what I heard. At the time, I thought rock and roll had shifted to what was then called Country, and pop music was… well… bad.@BrendaD
Garth Brooks! Wow, wifey and I attended a lot of his concerts, multiple times when he was on tour, from PA to CA & South Texas to Canada. She was in better condition then...I was too. Got lots of t-shirts & souvenirs, it was fun then. I still have every CD & DVD from his concerts
And country songs sometimes have religious roots..I can look for you. I got lots of time. I found a ton of new country music I loved, and Garth was at the root of my discoveries.
That sad part is - I would love to build a list of country songs I love to hear and dance to, but right now, I only remember around 15 songs.![]()
