Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Okay.... I need a hit of something.... this should help. 🥰🥰🥰

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Ramble Tamble

This song is one of the many reasons why I'm a big Stevie Ray Vaughan fan and also lament how he was taken so soon from us. I love how his guitar added emphasis to the lyrics:

"I heard a woman scream, yeah and I peeked through the door
Some cat was workin' on Annie with a, Lord with a two-by-four"

I can almost visualize it as he's singing and playing, he was such an incredible talent. No wonder I never tire of listening to his albums.

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place in Town)

Stevie Ray was so cool!!! I did get to see him live once... and once was not enough. Nice choice, Elmo! 🥰🥰

I can't help it... I need to hear some more Allman brothers...

Allman Brothers Band - Blue Sky

It's all @Elmo_Lincoln 's fault! He got met thinking about Stevie Ray, who I am a monster fan of and was since his 2nd or 3rd album.

And while I don't go much for "favorites".... this might be my favorite tune from Steve Ray. I know, It's Jimi's tune... but Stevie's version just completely blew my little mind the first time I heard it.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Voodoo Child (Slight Return)

Edit: I looked it up… this is the first CD I bought, and Soul To Soul was just coming out and within a week, I bought all three. At a time I was scraping money together, but Stevie was worth it. 🥰🥰🥰

And the Beatles song with Eric Clapton playing the guitar solo... that his close friend George Harrison asked him to play. That in itself to me, is beautiful.

The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
