Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

I was on another music site and placed this song. It sounded so good I am placing it here!

Swing on a Star by Big Dee Irwin and Little Eva
you are clearly a crazy person! Bing did the best version of this song!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bing Crosby - Swinging On A Star

Just kidding about crazy… but Bing did the best version 💋

Music cannot be replaced by anything in the world
Heard this and had to put it up!
R&R Lullaby by B J Thomas

…. I am a little crazy, but music is my happy place.
For what it is worth, I would say both about myself… well.. not the “little” part. I am totally crazy, and I’m good with that. 🤣🤣

I just went and bought a used keyboard amp this morning that I don’t really need… but am happy as can be about it. 🤣🤣🤣

Here's a song I know most don't know or remember it.
Hide n go Seek by Bunker Hill

Life is so short, and you're not owed another day! So, if you have the money and you enjoy it, buy it or go for it. My motto to live by. That's why I'm broke! :)

Oldie song #2
Night Train by Jimmy Forest
This song either reminds me of a dirty slow dance or a strip club. (my brother told me). I'm leading towards a strip club!

I played it because it reminded me of a strip club! Laughing out loud and blushing! (Yea that will be the day!) I could tell you the story about the strip club! Maybe not!

There was another Instrumental I love. It's called
Harlem Nocturne by The Viscounts

Way back in high school there was a band in my city called The Combinairs who had a killer sax player, and they played this song at least twice every Saturday night. Dancing slow pressed tightly together to that song was like dancing in a strip club! I'm just glad guys had some nice after shave (no not Old Spice).

HEY! its been a while.

On Saturdays I listen to the 70s station on SiriusXM. They play recordings of American Top 40 from the 70s three or four times each weekend. Last weekend the episode was from 1979, but as usual, Kasey Kasim was giving out bits of music history.

This time it was the subject of "Misheard Lyrics". The song? The all to familiar Disco hit "Jive Talkin'" by the Bee Gees. 4

Now, I despise Disco every bit as much today as I did in the late 70s. So I wasn't paying that close attention. Kasey asked if the listeners knew ho the song started? "Sure" I said out loud "J-J-J-Jive talkin'. You're tellin' me lies..."

"Its not J-J-J-Jive talking." said the voice of AM Radio History. The actual lyrics are "Its just your Jive Talkin'..."

He then played that shameless ripoff of a dozen songs I like (you can hear the opening riff from "Superstition" in this song's intro). DAMMIT! He's right.

Get you ear plugs kiddies and campers. Jive Talkin' by the Bee Gees.

I'm gonna cleanse my ears with something better. Does anyone know why Jimi wants to "kiss this guy?"
