On the run (Closed)

She was curled up on the couch though a little more balled up than a comfortable curled up position. She was mentally talking her self down as it were cursing herself for letting her fear make her act like that when he had given her no reason to fear him really unlike her past.

He stood on the porch and looked out toward the horizon. They were going to be spending a great deal of time together while they were at the house. He wondered how he could make her more comfortable around him. His first attempt to look out for her had resulted in her becoming afraid of him because of his gun. Now he had obviously done something to upset her.

He stayed on the porch when he noticed her curled up on the sofa. Maybe this was a mistake. Maybe he should be moving on so as not to upset her more than he already had.

She saw him standing there and bit her lip... her history with her ex had caused a problem already but should she just let it blow over or try to talk to him more and maybe try to explain why she ran.

He sat down on the steps. It was so peaceful and quiet. He was not used to the quiet, but he was starting to like it. He would prefer more interaction with people and he hoped that Jaidyn would open up and at least talk with him a little. If not, he would have to reconsider this arrangement.

She slowly made her way to the porch biting her lip.

I... Guess its easy to tell with how I ran that being that close to anyone especially males has been... less than...

She fell silent and stared out over the area around the house.

"Jaidyn, I understand what you are going through. We are both on the run. I realize that it will be difficult for you to trust males. Just know that I am not going to do anything to harm you. I will protect you in any way possible."

He looked over his shoulder at her...trying to make eye contact with her.

I am... really not used to the concept of males being protectors. That's gonna take some getting used to.

She leaned half sitting against one of the rails only to end up on her butt in what had to be at one time a flower bed.

He watched her land on her shapely ass in the flower bed. He sort of chuckled at her. Then he stood and extended his hand to her...offering to help her up.

"I am not claiming to be your bodyguard, but I am willing to be your friend. I will help you with anything you want, even if all that involves is being someone to talk to."

Well guess we can add the railing to the repair list.

She actually laughed a little as he helped her up.

I... I think that would be... nice.

She left her hand in his unless he withdrew his hand. She was biting her lip a little still trying to get used to this strange new arrangement.

He held her soft hand for a moment. "Yea, another project added to our list. I have a feeling that she knew there was a long list of repairs that needed to be made. That is why she made the offer to us. She probably hopes we will stay around for quite a while."

He smiled at her as he continued to hold her hand. He felt like he wanted to hug her to let her know things were going to be okay, but he was afraid that would scare her off. Then, he released her hand.

She nodded.

She seems to be used to things going her way. Those bikers in the diner seemed almost terrified of her when she called them down for trying to move near me.

She laughed a little again and then moved to try to look at the railing that was still attached to the porch supports and finished snapping them off.

"I have to say that I really can't blame them for showing interest in you, but there are ways of getting the attention of an attractive woman. They certainly weren't employing any of those methods."

He smiled at her and then said, "you are probably going to want to brush the dirt off your butt."

Yeah... she laughed and started to walk away inspecting more of the nice big wrap around porch and dusting the dirt off her jeans.

Most of the railing seems solid but still probably will want to change them out.

"Yea, it probably would be a good idea to replace it all. Like I said, I think this place is going to keep us real busy." H looked at her as she walked around the porch....his eyes moving to her ass as she brushed the dirt from her jeans.

The roar of a large pick up truck made her jump and stand there tensed a little till it flew on by her eyes not daring to leave the vehicle till it was gone. It wasn't him wrong color wrong make and not anyone that he would have drive him... she hoped.

He saw her tense as the pick up went flying by on the road. He saw her wait until it was off in the distance to start to relax. She was having a tough time...that was obvious. He didn't know what to do to help her. He didn't want to try something and have it be the wrong thing. "You know, it is a shame she didn't send some beer over with us. I could use a cold beer right now."

Maybe we could go find some.

She glanced back and smiled a little.

"We'll take my car. It is nothing like yours, but it won't garner the attention your car would either." He dug his keys out of his pocket and headed down off the porch. He opened the passenger side door for her and closed it after she got in.

They drove down the road a bit until he saw a bar and pulled into the parking lot. "Do you want to wait here or do you want to go in and we can have one here before getting the beer to take back?

We can go in... thats fine.

Hopping out of the car she smiled to him a little. She was warming up more and more to having someone around.

As he got out of the car he looked around. This was second nature to him now. He followed Jaidyn to the door, and then opened it for her. He per used the bar first, and then led her to an empty section.

They sat down, and when the bartender came over he ordered two beers. He then turned to Jaidyn, "if you feel uncomfortable, we can leave. Just let me know."

She smiled and nodded.

Thanks I do need to get used to getting out again... he and I... well I never really did anything like this back then. I am sure it will be fine.

She glanced around seeing some of the bikers a couple of the same ones from the cafe who as soon as they saw her quickly ignored her.

H turned and faced her at the bar. She was extremely attractive, and under different circumstances he might try something with her, but she was on the run like he was and she was fragile. What he felt right now was the need to protect her, and he was determined to help her any way he could.

"We really are something, aren't we? The two of us on the run. We happen into the same cafe at the same time and are fortunate enough to meet a woman who is kind enough to help us out. Although, I think she was really trying to fix us up." He smiled at her and took a big drink from his beer.

She laughed a little bit at his suspicions about Agnes. Maybe he was right... maybe it was her way of making sure that the younger bikers left her alone. She took a drink of her beer when it arrived.

Interesting thought.

"I see some of your friends from the cafe are here. If you want to leave we can. I would be fine with it. We can do whatever you want.....whatever you are comfortable with."

He was surprised at how protective he was being of Jaidyn. It was almost like he was her personal protector. He wasn't sure how or why, but there was something about her that caused him to become attached to her pretty quickly.

They seemed to remember her threat from the cafe so I think we are fine.

Jaidyn smiled a little and took another drink of her beer. It was strange but sweet how protective he seemed to be of her.
