1. I don't like badly written posts! I struggle with grammar and spelling, and the very least take time to read my posts before posting. If it's hard to understand for everyone. All I ask is people give them a check.

2. Pay attention to the story! Did anyone ask if there is slavery in the Empire? There isn't and taking someone prisoner in a public place who doesn't have a bounty on them is called kidnapping even if you think they'd make a good employee or sex slave! It's only gone on so long since I worked an extra shift that kept me away. Also I didn't do gear outfitting yet, and people ignored story aspects. The station wasn't built, the sneaking on part that was written was done badly and didn't make sense for the story. The bounty hunting was also a mistake.



This keeps up I'll ask you to leave the thread. I want people who can write!
 
When I captured her the park was (mostly) empty. She wasn't supposed to be on the ship so I figured it would be easier to capture her than someone who had records. And my character may not be a white knight but he isn't a rapist. At no point in this story do I plan on having a sex slave/ or raping anyone (unless someone wants me to do that). I'm sorry if I'm messing up the story that's not my intention at all, but this is my first role play so I haven't quite figured out the rules yet. Just tell me what you have in mind and I'll follow your lead.
 
Yes and you're off to a bad start, but you're getting a second chance. How exactly did your character know she wasn't on the ship legally? You pretty much just grabbed a random woman from a park that happens to be on a navy base! The park has many people and you live in what is essentially a small city! I take it you haven't read the posts.

Also having a character who is a violent drunk is your business, and you're perfectly allowed to do so. Just don't expect anyone to like you.
 
I know its your first role play as well but make sure you read the material like Jawn said it didnt make a whole lot of sense why he kidnapped her or how he got away with it plus you pretty much captured her with out really giving her a chance to stop it or get away I mean the drunk part is okay it's just how you handled it
 
Ok. Sorry I thought I had left enough room for her to escape. And I have read the source material. Two peaceful alien species gave the human empire this space station that they captured from the enemy after a plague killed everyone onboard. Then the human empire gathered a crew of 500,000 to go fight the two evil alien races coming to kill us. My character joined the ship because he figured fighting the evil aliens would get him lots of money.

Another thing about my character is that he's a functioning alcoholic. He drinks so much it doesn't affect him as much. If it doesn't actually work that way then I'm sorry for the confusion. I'm 18 so I've never been drunk and I have no first hand experience with alcohol. I've seen drunk people but I've never actually had any myself. Sorry I'm messing everything up I'll try to do better.

If there's anything else that I'm messing up just tell me and I'll try to fix it. Also I know my character is an asshole but I'm not so I won't freak out over constructive critism.
 
No ones saying your messing up every thing We're just trying to make sure this thing goes as smoothly as possible. There are a few grammer issues and I didnt like at all how you handled the kidnapping but your character is fine. I dont think you left enough room for her to escape but the rest of it was fine. Just so you know however Alcoholics may take more to get drunk but they do drink and get drunk as a matter of fact usually their drunken stupor is more heavy than say some on who isnt an Alcoholic. Since he is one if he drinks a lot he would actually be more of a drunk.
 
Ok. I didn't know that about drunks so I'll keep it in mind. Also no more kidnapping. Hopefully I won't step on anymore toes but my character is kind of chaotic. That being said I'll still do my best to respect everyone else's charters and not go over the top when I interact with them. Thanks for the advice.

Occupation: Current legal job title is Transport Ship captain.

Educational Background: Middle of the road all through K-12 equivalent schooling, always doing exactly enough to graduate and move on. 4 years spent at the Military Academy, however, no commendations or recommendations from any staff officers. In fact, his file was sealed upon graduation and any investigation simply leads back to a single line item: "Under Commandant's Orders".

Employment Background: Dishonorably discharged from the Imperial Navy after less than 2 years into his first tour as an officer. Discharge was the result of a court martial case brought by a superior citing insubordination.

Law Enforcement Background: Several counts of hijacking and theft over the years since leaving the Empire. All counts are either past their statute of limitations or expunged or dismissed due to lack of evidence or overturned on appeal.

Military Background: Did legitimately hold rank of Captain during limited time in the military.

Marital Status/Family: Mother and father both retired and moved to Earth. Brother is married with kids and working at a fabrication facility for the Empire's fleet. No known children at present, but not from a lack of trying.

Significant Other: Rumored to be "courtesan" to a princess of a border interstellar kingdom, but no evidence available to corroborate this information. No wife or long term partner.

Hobbies: In his words "a little of this, a little of that"

We're at the beginning of a very busy first day and I will be posting what's going on very soon. Had a few emergency calls at my job which through off a day and night off. These were writer suggested names and I like them. I've made a few notes, but otherwise I'm happy and hope people develop such interesting ideas. Sex and violence are a lot more fun in a story with a rich background.

Scout Ships (Small, Medium, Large sizes used for Infiltration/Subversion/Escort)
The little work horses of the galaxy. Patrol, spy, survey, fighter support, bombers, infiltrators, and explorers. Endless configurations and always useful.
Small Scout: Spider, Praying Mantis, Grass Hopper
Medium Scout: Cobra, Rattler, Moccasin
Large Scout: Hammer head, Mako Shark, Bull


Take the fight to the enemy in this small combat craft. Generally light fighters have a crew of one, medium have two, and heavy have three or more. These are general rules though, but more hands more can be accomplished. Robots have also taken up roles in craft operations.

Heavy AARs:Hurricane, Stallion, Corsair

Destroyer (Infiltration/Subversion/Attack)
A fast maneuverable long-endurance warship intended to escort larger vessels in a fleet, convoy or battle group and defend them against smaller powerful short-range attackers. Not much has changed since the blue water navies of the past.
Light Destroyer: Buckley, Nicolas, Trinidy
Medium Destroyer: Dagger, Dirk, Stiletto
Heavy Destroyer:Neptune, Poseidon,Aegir

Escort Ship (highly-powered, heavily-armed warship)
A starship whose primary purpose is to accompany other vessels as a means of protection. Escorts typically protected lesser armed vessels, or vessels carrying an important cargo. Similar to a destroyer, but found in many civilian fleets.
NO light Escorts-
Medium Escorts:Lancers, Knights, Dragoons
Heavy Escorts:Gallions, Frigates, Brigantines

Battleship (Infiltration/Subversion/Attack/Escort)
The large armored warships of the galaxy with impressive weapons systems. It is the only type of ship that cannot fit inside the space station, but can be moored alongside.

No light Battleships-One of the Alien allies does manufacture "pocket battleships"
Medium Battleship: Cruiser, Little State
Heavy Battleship: Monster, Hyper, Super

One of the best known chain restaurants in the galaxy is looking for a manager. Typical bar food and drinks....the same at every location. Generic deep fried delights.

Location option #1...
A small space that could easily become a bar with kitchen space and room for dinning. It has two standard living spaces above the space just mentioned.

Location option #2...
A larger space someone will snap up soon. A good size restaurant space with a kitchen space with plenty of storage including an environmental room which could become a wine cellar or other specialty storage area. Also included is a lobby space and a 18 unit sleeping area (one large room and bathroom in each unit).
