OOC: Loa Blood

What do Ghost and Sugar do for the night? Do they skip out on the detective, or tell him that they are foreigners just released from the asylum with nowhere to stay? If they do, he will arrange for them to spend the night in a police shelter.

Succubus, if Mary makes herself known to the detective, he will probably send her to another orphanage. If she demonstrates her abilities, he will ask her to come to the meeting in the morning. If she stays quiet, she will be able to sneak into the police station with him.

Abraxas, it will be hard for Monolith to keep a low profile now, and he will be a lot heavier. His leaps now destroy pretty much whatever he lands on, he won't be able to stand up inside most buildings, and he'll fall through a lot of stairs and floors. Unless you were planning on this extra growth being a temporary thing. Since Kryna already has size-changing powers, I'd rather keep Monolith at a constant size. If he's going to grow every time he exerts himself, he'll end up turning into a giant who can't move in a city without destroying buildings. Which I'm ecstatic about, if that's what you want to play.

Everybody, please PM me before undergoing extra mutations like that. It's still only day two, and I want to keep your powers growing slowly.

Once we know how Ghost and Sugar spend the night, I'd like to skip to the meeting at the police station. I don't expect all of the characters to show up (if Monolith shows up, they'll hold it in a garage or something).

ST: I'm sure you've noticed a slight change in Sugar. This isn't permenant but her insanity (the child like behavior) is tied into fear and unstable emotions. When she is with Ghost, who has sworn to be her protector she is safe and filled with serentiy that gives her the ability to think clearly, but it only lasts for so long.
Hope thats alright, I'm not playing out of character or anything

A forested, wet peninsula to the west. Great logging potential, and has a strong sea trade community. Salmon there is delicious, and a computer technology center is just beginning to open up, allowing for more vigorous trade. The cities are beautiful, but the wilderness, while receding, is still dank and muddy, and can be depressing for some people. The normal dark weather has given the people pale skin, and eyes tend to be brown or blue. Hair ranges from dirty blond to dark brown. The community is surprisingly open and sophisticated, at least in the port towns. More easterly, the towns grow less fancy as they grow farther from the water and deeper into the forest. A mountain range seperates the forests from a dry prairie known as Far East Sejeala, where few people live.

Can Kell Claudas have immigrated to Bay City from here, say, eight years ago? His parents would have died three years afterward.

And the "Shiva Hands" was just a term I invented. They don't really have to be called that. I can just call them "Balanced Hands" or something. ^_^

If you like the ideas, I'll enter him in soon. He'll just be wandering around, somewhat half-sane, wearing dark and once-stylish clothes (now a bit dirty) and a steel pendant from his mother.

Besides being a very talented student and a hard thinker, he's also a martial artist in a weaving dance-like style, though a bit slender physically. His new power might make his fighting ability even more impressive.

Sugar's sanity and Monolith's extra size sound fine, if that's the way you want to handle them. Cool scene, Abraxas.

I love the extra background on Arum, KissTheSky. Now I really want to have some characters go there. Lots of great detail on Sejeala too, JC.

Kell could be wandering through the park and discover Ghost and Sugar. They stand out because of his metal arm, and their torn and bloody clothing. They could probably use a friend who knows the city. He could also run into Kryna while she's on her "errands" around the city, but there wouldn't be any reason for them to stick together (unless Kell was already going to Bridges for some reason). If he was wandering around outside of town, he could go investigate the shaking earth, booming sounds, and giant pillars of rock at an old barn. Kell could also go meet Mary at the orphanage, but I'm really not sure what Succubus is doing there in the back seat of Price's car yet.

As for Kryna's trip to Bridges, Velvet, I'd intended for her to bring at least Dex along with her. "All her resources" at the moment includes several superbeings! Of course, I can see her wanting to go off on her own, too, and not bring outside strangers into her family's problems. And since he's not due to arrive in Bridges for a few days, Kryna could still go to the meeting, and have plenty of time to catch up to him by plane. Anyway, play her as you see her. I'm glad you gave her brother a name.

Is anyone going to meet with the police? I'm still waiting to see what Mary is doing before I post for Price.

Succubus, you can write whatever you want between you and Price. Eventually, he sticks you in the foster home with Kell. As quickly as you two can get to the following day, that would be great.

Amon and Kisses, same thing. Ghost and Kryna spend the night talking (or whatever), or sleep on the beach. Did they go to the meeting in the morning?

For anyone who went, to recap, you've got three offers:

-Join the police force

-Work for Coda

-Move in with Dr. Archer

Each of you can choose to take any, all, or none of these offers. The alternative seems to be the Chief's veiled threat about "treating you as criminals".

Ok, I've posted and here's some thoughts:

Can you be tested for Loa Blood?

If yes, they might test her (or try to, since she will resist being tested) and that will blow her sceme for this city..

BUT she meets Kell and might settle in a more adult phase of her life. In fact, since she's accustomed to createing paper trails she could make papers for the two of them that effectively hides both of them as a family (your choice of what structure).

Depends on where you want me to go with Mary and intergrate her into the group...or on the fringe of the group.

Also, the Altered Ones seems of to died....I'm thinking of importing Alice Winterbourne from there having NOT found her sister in that game-scape.

Damien is gong to be a loner right now. i want to move him forward in a different way. like him going to search for his mother. if that's ok with you ST.

That sounds great, Democable. With so many characters, I'd kind of expected for some of them to split up. You've got a big world to explore, and you can always rejoin the other characters at a later time (or cross their paths as an enemy, or whatever). So have Damien do whatever you think is appropriate. I'll be coming up with an interesting sory about your mother.

Succubus, I would like Mary and Kell to at least be on the fringes of the group (assuming there's even going to be a group, it might really fracture off, which is cool). Lets say she overhears Price planning the meeting to set up a police super-team of Gifted. What would she do with the information? Does she want to seek out her own kind, hoping to find the answers to her past that way? Also, she could hear about the Gifted disappearing around the world, and want to be around the others for protection.

You can be tested for Loa Blood, but it's a rare procedure. Archer or Dugan could do it, but most hospitals couldn't (yet). Of course, some Gifts are more obvious than others.

As to what kind of relationship/family Mary and Kell form, I'd rather leave that up to you and Jacobo. Just have the characters act as they want to, and I'll have the world react appropriately.

That goes for everyone. At this point, if you want to be a crimefighter, a criminal, a bricklayer, a stuntman, whatever, go ahead. Stay in Argo, go to Arum or Locrir, go to Marrow Island or Dracon Island, whatever you want. I will find ways to eventually bring the group of you back together.

Oh yeah, and Succubus, if you want to bring Alice in as well, go ahead. She's a great character, and since she's a civilian, not another super-being, it shouldn't complicate things too much.
