On an OOC note, even though the characters we're playing don't know this those of us familiar with Sinister might now understand why he would be particularly interested in Fantomex's actions.


Remember I said that Fantomex was working with someone from Jubilee's past?

By the way, those guys are just to drive the plot, I'll just tell Fantomex's story through them but after that thrash them as you please

P.S-This thread is taking a kinda historic like tone. It's almost like this thread is turning into a "Ghosts of the Mutant Massacre" type thing. Kewl!

OH I love Magma way better and I'm going to countinue him I mess up ussually with all my chars...so anyways I have a bunch of ideas for a group that Magma is the leader of... M(Mutant)R(resistence)O(of)T(The)W(World) currently is run from an old warehouse by lake michigan in Chicago...AND THE STARTING ROSTER IS

Apperance: she deosn't ware clothes (NOT TO BE PERVERTED YOU CNA"T REALLY SEE ANYTHING) and ussually makes her whole body black and hair black also you can almost never see her lips...it's weird 6'4 and has very strong muscles (very acrobatic)

Powers:Self explainitory but if your really or kinda dumb her power is that she can control her skin pigment as in natural comoflauge.

Apperance....a lot like Magma baggy clothing has a sweatshirt thats white but ripped...Blond hair, Blue eyes...5'7"...

Powers:Can shoot spikes out of virtualy any part of her body...also has very very very quick regeneration so once she shoots a spike her skins almost recovered she does feel some pain like wolverine but got used to it....The spikes are green and have a crystal like tint...

apperance. Wears an old who t-shirt and some gloves cut off at the fingers...Jeans and some skate shoes...long black hair green eyes,6'0"..A lot of organic Black holes on his body (ever seen the matrix)


Powers:Can make extreme sounds that can propell him and make VERY VERY LOUD noises. Powerful enough to go to mach one and can generate a sonic boom which at close range is deadly...to be able to run so fast he is obviously also strong..

Apperance:not known bye X-men never been seen but have seen his powers...

Powers. Can make people halucinate and generate images and makes them see incredibly real ussually around himself for a camoflauge (assumed dangerous) and very unstable...

apperance: Tan skin long brown hair and has a tail (WHA) yes she has a tail...Wears t-shirst and shorts ussually...Supposedly related to Nightcrawler she is german(you never know) and is about 5'9"...Hazel eyes...her tail is thicker than nightcrawlers to support her larger status and ends like a demons...

The idea of a sorta mutant gang intrigues me. Of the characters you described Chamelion stands out the most because her powers could be interpreted as non combative but could be amazing for recon.

I would suggest these things


1. Make a self acted side story for them to show how you would rp them and if you are capable of rping them in a storyline. Just having them show up and fight is kinda dull, and mutant supremacy groups are a cliche(sorta like the self contained story J.D was planning when he was waiting in the wings with Gambit). But if you make a storyline for them separately and rp with them if it comes off then we'll be able to see how they could be fun chars to interact with.

2. Get another rper to help you develop them. You could choose someone from this thread or even someone who knows about superhero rping not associated with this thread to help to round out their personalities, purpose and powers. Also, just because you make typos doesn't mean you should give up. The editors on the site might not be up on rping but they could definetly give you spelling and grammar advice to help us get involved in your posts when we read them.

But the suggestion I favor most is this one. It might not work for you but I would suggest if you're going to keep Magma, focus your energy on refining him. His personality, his powers, his origin and his motivation.

Get him to the point where he is a cool character to rp with and could contend with actual marvel characters in terms of being interesting.

Don't bother reading about his origin as it won't come into play in the sl much (the same can't be said for Sinister and Fantomex though so whoever knows their origins has a clue to what's going on) except for this:Emplate got banished to another dimension where he was tortured to the point where he needs a respirator to survive(stupid idea IMO but the resporator is cool looking). He can get out of that dimension where he is tortured but has to "feed off" of mutants life forces to do so.

So if he wants to not be tortured he has to feast on mutants.

Most important is his powers which is why he will be used.

Yeah, I can see the first time he fought the X-Men you would think four power enhanced evil mutants would be enough to beat them but after they have whipped his ass in the past oh, 8 battles why doesn't he say fuck it and make like 40 horsemen?


But yeah, Apocalypse is roughly around 5k years old. Arguably the first mutant ever (Selene is the other candidate I learned recently. Eww, to think I once thought she was kinda attractive)

A miniseries once told of his origin, and his stone gay fucktoy (worst kept secret in comics) Ozymandias used to be his ruler or something.

You could still be on the shadow plane with Wraith and the school could have been a cover for you that Rogue would tell like when friends cover for each other when they sneak out to meet their boyfriends.

You could use the school as like a trans dimensional warp (like How buffy's city was the warp site in that series)

or you could just swoop in and meet with the group anytime you want.

If you REALLY wanted to have fun you could watch as the city around you turned to zombies.

Ithica, Im playing Gambit in the time right after Rogue and the rest of the Xmen who witnessed the trial left him on Antarctica. Im leaving out the New Son storyline and saying he made his way back to New Orleans. So Im expecting a few emotional confrontations between Gambit and the rest of the Xmen when the time comes. We havent gotten there yet, but here are the reactions from the comics by some of the Xmen after Gambit reappears.

Logan due to having a good friendship with Gambit in the past tells the Cajun that while it's good to have him back that if Gambit plays them for fools again or breaks Rogue's heart again the two of them will have words.

Storm says that "Gambit...here again as mysteriously as when he disappeared after the trial in Antarctica..It tears open old wounds in all of us. I can only imagine what Rogue is going through..."

Rogue and Gambit try to go be alone to talk and before they can really get into how they feel they are attacked by Kali a mutant that hears voices from a god. After they dispatch of her, Gambit and Rogue attempt to talk again, but before Gambit can say that he loves Rogue, A being of energy makes it so he cant talk -all he could say is a muffled I before he grabbed his throat- and Rogue thought that she pushed him too much too soon and flies off telling him that she wont wait forever. After Rogue leaves the being tells Gambit that "If you touch that Harlot again...I'll kill her and everything else you care for."

Update: Found out about the Energy Being...

The ghost, Mary, had been a sickly girl who seemingly died when her mutant powers kicked in transforming her to an energy being. Later, she was discovered by Magneto, who brought her to his Antarctica base, which is where she met Remy.

Have you figured out the finer points to Magma's character yet?


It's tough to pick up original characters without really believing in them. Giving them powers is one thing but creating an identity is another story entirely.

Whoever picks those characters will have to have a backstory, history, purpose, and personality.

That's a lot to invest in writing and you have really stated how they would figure into the story.

Even if they are connected to Magma, that's problematic cause we still don't really have clear ideas on how Magma fits into the story.
