Cause I think that ties into what Fantomex is doing with the Emplate thing. Technically his powers infect a person with a virus and we were about to infect Wizard.

ok, Emplate's virus or whatever turns people into the living dead...what Sinister did to Wizard works like this...if he were to die in a violent manner, it would trigger the creation in his system of a nasty supervirus that would affect only those without a healing ability...in other words, it would wipe out all but a handful of mutants, and anyone who has been immunized

Sabertooth/Wolverine/Lady Deathstryke all have an enhanced healing capability, so they would be the only type capable of creating a vaccine that could be used to prevent the apocalypse
