I don't see any reasonable person objecting to that either, but I can't agree with you that all of the posters here on this topic have stopping the mass killings in mind at all. If they did, they'd agree with the need to cut down on the access to weapons capable of doing that--but they don't. When forced to look directly at it, they come up with shell games. I would also be amazed, if you or I could possibly be aware that were true. As you say, they are likely "played up for TV", but they are also likely edited for that very reason.
