Outlaws

Lydia

Her sojourn to the bar had turned into little more than a joke. She was beginning to think the fun around here included nothing but a deck of cards and scrounging up a beer. There had been, of course, no decent alcohol so to speak of. Just a few local home brews made from god only knew what. She hadn't had a decent drink since that damn asteroid had hit.

If the heavens had decided to stick them in a shithole like this, one would think they might have at least been kind enough to leave one good Scotch distillery to offer them some sort of compensation.

Still, it'd been one of the better brews she'd tasted in awhile and had been enough to give her a good buzz. Maybe she'd be able to get a few hours sleep untroubled by the nightmares that seemed to haunt her dreamworld.

She lit another cig and began the walk back to the roach motel, her feet only slightly unsteady. Damn this place needed some action..

David Chan

I snorted at Rock's outburst.
"You motherfucker! I've hunted down more sons of a bitches that you have even dreamed of!" I hissed back at him.
"I have scars where you can't even imagine. I have this damn tattoo for life reminding me of a past I'll never forget!"

"Know this, even if you don't trust me I'll never double cross another hunter. And it's ex-triad you stupid piece of shit! Get your facts straight before you go shoooting your mouth off."

I pointed at him. "But if you ever, EVER, try to pull any shit on me I'm gonna make sure you'll be three feet below the ground forever!"

Corwyn

I nodded as Mad Dog laid out the plan, glancing up at Daph when he paired us off trying to see her reaction. A quick and silent prayer of thanks to whom or whatever had arranged that pairing before returning my attention to the plan.

I grin and nod to Daph, "We wouldn't anything to happen to you now would we, but yeah that sounds better than us both taking our bikes." Looking over the map I think it over for a moment, "Well we want to hit either the bank or the grocery store last as the bank will stir up more opposition and food goes bad." Pointing to one of the stores in the town, "Why not start here and grab what we can carry and head for the bank next."

Daphne

I nodded at Corwyn's decision. It was a smart one. We could at least keep the people in the store quiet long enough to hit the bank. The bank would have better back up and security systems and the law would be alerted sooner.

"Ok, we go in and hit the store right away, make sure those in their-employees...customers..and the like are secured so that no one can give the alarm and then head to the bank."

"We get in and get out, taking valuables in the safe (paper money had become almost useless since the asteroid's appearance) and then we get out. We shouldnt get greedy...this stuff isnt worth our lives."

Besides, I smiled to myself, Cor and I still had some unfinished business and tonight's celebration, should we pull this off, would be the perfect setting to tie up loose ends.

I glanced over to him and wondered if he was thinking the same thing before I sighed and shook my head. 'Daphne, you are being a fool. Letting someone in under your defenses is the worst possible thing you could do'. Still, I couldnt deny how good his touch had felt against my skin.

Danielle.

(ooc. sorry, dunno where everyone is...just pretend I know what I'm talkin bout.)

I saw the two men, bickering, I rolled my eyes, the peaceful town hadn't heard gunfire or anything near that in ages. I took my pistol and aimed at the sky.

The loud piercing scream of the bullet dislodging itself from the slim shiny barrel tore through the town. I smiled.

I shouted over to them, "Now if you fellas are ready to go. I have to just go get the deputy (any one want this position?)

I smiled, I ran into the saloon. After a few moments I returned, I quickly informed the new deputy of the situation. I threw him/her (???) the walkie talky....

"Call me, The range is enormous. Trouble can be handled. NO ONE takes the guns unless it is futile to the safety of the town. Got it?"

I shook their hand, this was way too quickly done, but I was itchin to get out and get rid of the trouble that caused us to even need a superior law officer. "Congrats. Now I want updates every day. "

I ran back out.

I stared at the two men. I closed my eyes and looked up at the sun, it was gorgeous, and I was ready to go.

Cheyenne

While the other girl was talking to the store owner, I walked over to where the clothing was kept. I desperately needed some more functional clothes. The outfit I had on was the only pair of pants I was allowed to own. He had wanted me to dress only in dresses or lingerie. When you were rich, you could afford those kind of luxuries..even after the asteroid.

I grabbed three pairs of jeans, some cut off shorts that were my size, and four shirts. It was a start at least. Shoes were next on my list, because the ones I had on were rubbing the back of my heels. I quickly grabbed some boots and headed to the guns again. I wanted to hurry up and get out of this town.

The more space I put between me and him the less likely he was to find me.

Mad Dog

Taking one of the headset radios, I put it on and try it out. After I am satisfied with the results I turn to Charles, "Good job partner." I say to him.

As I pass each one out, I silently prepare for the task at hand.

Everyone checks the radios, and everything is fine. "Okay everyone we should have no problems of reception due to the range of these, there is a ten mile minimum radius."
I say, with my usual game face. Even though I was worried, I would never allow the group to see it.

"Okay people it is show time!" I exclaim as I grab my hat out of the car and place it in my bike's storage compartment, on top of my coiled up rope.

As I throw a leg over the fuel tank, I hope the former LAPD officer, what's her name, the girl from New Lost Angeles? Danielle, that's it, I hope she keeps her nose in the confines of her goody goody town. I think to myself as my bike rumbles to life.

As the base's doors slide open, I roar out with the front tire up in the air. "YEEEEEEAHAAAAAAAAA!!" I yell, adopting an old battle yell for my own use.

"Okay Outlaws, Let's show the pathetic fools why we are the Outlaws, and they are our fucking prey." I say to them over out link, as we race towards town.

i walk up to the sheriff "Thank you for letting me keep my gun" She was about to say something in protest when i showed her my old texas ranger badge.
" Oh your a Ranger but that dosn't make a diffrance i didnt give you permision to keep your gun." "But if you can help me ill let you keep it"

"Ok i said what do you need help with?"

jackson

i walk up to the sheriff "Thank you for letting me keep my gun" i mean it means alot to me me being a law enfocement officer like your self that you trust me. Ive also been hearing rumors about a band of outlaws around here that id like to help the people here deal with mad dog i think his name is right? The reason is that he killed my sister and i want payback for it."

OOc: Hows that ?

OOC: rdh996, Back off a little, let LAVA post for herself. I know things are moving slow, but I want everyone to post for their character, give her time and she will post.

:)

(ooc. Just spell correctly. And I'll be fine. :)

I stared at him. "This is my town. It will be my town till I die. Understand?" I raised a stern eyebrow. It looked funny for a lil lady to be talking so big.

"you can keep your gun...locked up."

I mouthed the words slowly.

"I would never leave in such a hurry if I didn't suspect my town was in danger. YOu keep order, guns aren't released. EVER. Unless dire need, you radio me, and I decide what dire need is. k?" I added the last k, in a sarcastic feminine note.

I handed him a key. "You have access to all the equipment, I am assuming you will check in every night, I have people watching you, and I am trusting you. "

I walked away, the bag over my shoulder, extra ammo launched over my shoulder.

Well i just get into town and im incharge i thought this only happned in the movies. gosh movies i havent seen one in years since before the astroid hit. As i look back at that day it pains me like it happned yesterday. anyway back to reality i told myself. As i watched the sheriff walk away to help where ever whe was going i thought to myself ill be damned if i am going to be in control of this town and not have anything to defend it with like Snipe (Yes i named my gun). Good thing she didnt find my dilinger that little gun is hid in the most unobvisus place to hide it. As i walked to the sheriff office to accept my duty by gettin drunk on whats left of my liquer in my flask which was nearly fool having found it on some dead guy about a 7 miles outa town. The same place i got the dilinger i think as i prop my feet on the desk and doze off.

Rock Brodus in "Triad Geometery"

As Chan began his boring as tirad, I simply stood in front him with my arms folded. After he finished I raised my eyebrow and gave him my evil grin and said "Look you punk bitch. Let's get one thing you hunted more people than me? Yeah right. Look you Jackie Chan knockoff. Before you compare hits with me just look at one thing. Who has brought in the most bounty. Judging by cars alone my Surbaban beats your shitbox anyday.
Now why don't you run off and play Kung Fu: the Legend Continues somewhere else and let the grown folks handle buisness. Now why don't run along and play with your little butter knife while me and the sheriff get down to the real buisness of hunting that rabies infested poodle calling himself Mad Dog."

I knew talking down to Chan would piss him off more than anything else I could do to him but to add futher insult to injury I began walking away before got the chance to respond. Instead I headed toward the sheriff after she let loose that stray shot. Ah the sounds of gunfire, it's music to my ears.

As I approached her I needed to know when are we going to get started on the Dog's trail. I was gonna be sundown in about an hour and I did not want his trail to get cold. After all there was the buisness of collecting the reward money and honoring the memories of my ex-wife and my late son.

OCC: BTW Isolde that Jenifer Lopez doll is something else. Whew is it getting hot in here

Daphne

OOC: *smiles and flutters eyelashes* Why thank you, kind sir!

IC: I slid behind the wheel of one of the jeep and gave Cor the thumbs up sign before putting it in gear and roaring out behind Mad Dog.

As we made our way toward the target, I went over the plans again in my head. Getting the route to the store and bank firmly in my mind's eye, I knew I would have no problem there. I then went over any possible senerios of danger just in case. It was something I did to prepare myself mentally.

Taking one hand off the wheel, I reasurred myself that all of my knives were there and in place where I could reach them. Nodding my head in satisfaction, I turned my attention again to the road and the upcoming town.

Danielle.

My hips swaying slightly as my feminine walk trailed me to his car.

"Tsk tsk, gonna get yourself into a whole mess of trouble." I laughed.

I slung my pack into the passenger seat. "No Bitch." I smiled. "You letting him come?"

I took off the heavy ammo. Rolling my bare shoulders from the release of the weight. "mmmmm." I said, closing my eyes. The sun had brought my cheeks to a light pink and my skin to a golden brown. My hair wild in the coming breeze of night.

I had changed clothes, still adorned in the skin leather pants, brown in collar and this time a black wife beater. I adjusted the small pistol at my ankle. Then dusted off my boots before I noticed the passenger door didn't open, I slinked in, one foot at a time, my body slyly moving in. THe handcuffs attatched to my belt came clanking down onto the seat. He looked at them then looked at me.

I gave him a stern look. "Refuel at the town center. You have my permission."

I cocked my eyebrow and referred to the man that was as red as a beet and extremely angry.

David Chan

Ignorant fuck. Half those people I killed had been personal, not for bounty. But then again Rock was more noted for his brute force than his intelligence. Let him find the fucking outlaws himself and get 50 bullet holes right through his dick. Like I give a shit.

Walking back to the car I got thinking. Mad Dog's band consisted of around 5, give or take. The two of them planned to take on five of them? Mad Dog's band were not just boy scouts. They could carry out robberies with cunning and guile, and always managed to outsmart the hunters. Much as I hate Rock, the only chance to beat them is to take as many as possible.

The Sheriff of this town was already sitting in Rock's car when I approached. Taking care to ignore Rock, I leant down to the window.
"Excuse me madam." She turned to look at me.
"Obviously you're the sheriff of this town and calling the shots, and I respect that. But if you're planning to take on Mad Dog then you're gonna need more than jus the two of ya. Mind if I follow you guys as well?"

Danielle.

I turned to the man, Jackie Chan. That is going to be his nick name. I looked at him, attitude in my glare.

I would have rather not the man driving know that I was calling the shots. He had to know sooner or later.

"I'm not quite sure, I can take you two down single handedly...I think that the two of us may be at a disadvantage. But who can really say? Your friend here seems to pack heat well enough to inihilate us for the rest of the century. "

I looked over at the man, I hadn't really been properly introduced. It was his call. I would rather have an extra. But this was his vehicle.

Lydia

"How about I tag along as well and help even out the odds?" Lydia said from the spot where she leaned against the wall.

The little scene before her had attracted her attention well enough to make her halt her trip back to the hotel. Not that it would have taken much for that. But, still, the plan she had overhead sounded like more fun than she'd had in days.

Looking between the sherriff and the two men who flanked her, a brow quirked as she repeated her offer. At least a good fight would be better than spending the night in the roach motel.

Mad Dog

As I get closer to town, I slow down, trying to avoid any more attention than nessacary. "Okay everyone get ready, we are almost here." I say into the radio. "Remember, do this hard and fast. If you get into trouble, call for help." I finish and head towards Holloway's.

Parking the bike by the door, I get off of it and open the compartment. I grab the rope, a small stick of dynamite, and I get my hat out of its place and put it on my head. I pull my scarf over my mouth and nose as I push the door open.

(OOC: Where are the rest of the Outlaws?)

Daphne

OOC: I have no idea! Anher...we have a store and bank to rob...where are you?

IC: Cor and I peeled away from the rest of the group as we neared the town. Heading around to the other side of town, we both covered our faces with our bandanas as much for the dust we were kicking up as for disguise.

With a signal from my parner, I swung in front of the store and put on the brake and grabbing the shotgun that lay on the passanger seat. I preferred a knife for fighting but I knew that this called for a long range weapon if we were going to pull this off.

Hopping out of the jeep I met Cor at the door to the store. He gave me a nod and we burst through the door, weapons at ready and pointing into the confines of the store.

"Everyone down," I yelled through the bandana,"Cooperate and no one gets hurt. Dont and we're not responsible for what happens." God, I felt like something out of a B movie but it did the job. Customers and owner alike dropped to the floor and Cor and I were free to start loading up on supplies.

Cheyenne

OCC: Had to edit because I got confused on where everyone was LOL

IC:

I heard the door open so I immediately swung around to see who it was. A man stood at the entrance. His face covered with a bandana.

"Oh just great." I said to myself. I had seen enough western movies to know that a person wearing a scarf or bandana over their face was going to rob something. Classic case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I stood there, frozen, waiting for whatever was going to happen next.

Rock Brodus in Half Asleep

As I raised a speculative eyebrow at Chan wanting to work with me and the sheriff. I know for a fact that me and the sheriff would probably have no chance at between Mad Dogs gang without getting some help, but this is Chan dammit. With no other alternative I said

"Sure Wong Fu can join in on the search for the pound puppies, but just remember this not a game, Chan. If Mad Dog isolates you 9 out 10 time he is gonna leave you a corpse. So in other words there are no heroes in this fight, just survivors. Anyways I suggest we get on th trail before it gets cold."

Corwyn

OOC- I got blindsided by RL for a while but I should be fine again.

IC: Stepping through the door next to Daph I let her do most of the talking. I scanned the crowd both with my eyes and th AK-47 I was holding, hoping that the people would be smart enought not to try anything heroic.

Taking up position by the door I nodded for Daphne to get the supplies, she was faster with her hands then I was, and besides I had a quicker weapon if the situation called for it. As much of a thrill as I got out of doing this I was looking forward to the after raid celebration. I smiled behind my bandana while doing my best to keep my mind on the here and now.

Mad Dog

"Give me all the money, and let me take my pick from your private stock." I shout to the women, trying to find the owner. "I promise no one will get hurt, critically atleast. Now put a snap in your step before you start to annoy me." I wave one of my pistols as I finish.

Daphne

I quickly cleared the shelves of most non perishables and then took enough of the others to last a week. That done I moved the first load of supplies out to the car while Corwyn held everyone down. I had to hurry, this wasnt going to last for long. Putting my gun on the passanger seat once again and placing the supplies in the back, I ducked back inside after making sure there was no one outside who was going to raise the alarm. Making two trips was risky but with only two of us it was necessary especially since Cor had to hold down the fort.

When I went back in, I had several lengths of rope and went about tying the hands and feet of all those in the store. With everyone immobile, Cor could now help me. "Grab the beer and cigarettes and I will grab the cash," I told him.

It only took a few minutes to get into the old time cash register and clear it out. As I came back around the counter, Cor handed me several boxes of cigarettes and grabbed the beer before we exited the door. On the way out I grabbed a bottle of wine. I had a plan for that later on tonight. With a smile I followed Cor out the door and we were soon on our way to the bank.
