part 11 of the China Pearl Inn

When I write with another Honey I work out a rough plot with them. It usally comes to a point when the story tell you it need to end.

I make my way down from my loft. There is a chill in the air so another virgin log or two the hungry embers on the hearth. I pour a mug of hot rich black coffee.

Umm that hits the spot. Morning to any who may be about and to those that hide in the shadows.

(Thanks for the welcoming morale boost. Now on with my post!! :) )

Ish came into the establishment, he was around China for a few days now. Walking past this place once or twice, only to cave in and finally come in. The outlaw mercenary loved 3 things. Good company, especially if it's with a beautiful woman. Roundhousing someone in the face who deserves it, and of course a good drink. Be it alcoholic or not. He came in and took a seat.

G'day sir have you just arrived? I fear the village does not have much to offer? But the China Pearl Inn has clean rooms and good cow.

My name is C G Raven but folks just call me C G. I am just an old sailor down on his luck and looking for a good berth. In the meantime I keep bar here and call the Inn home.

Can I get you something to drink?

"Ish Roseblazer, outlaw rider on an iron horse. Traveller and mercenary. Pleasure to meet you. For now, I'd like just a glass of water for now." He said to the sailor behind the bar.

Ish one glass of water coming right up.

Sounds like you have had a colorful past. I spent some years on "China Station" Yangzi River Patrol. Got dicey from time to time between river pirates and War Lords. That is before I was mustered out.

"Well I rode from Spain, travelling Europe, Middle East and Russia. Slightly travelled most of Asia but China is my last stop. And I think I'll like it here." He said to the sailor, sipping the glass of water. Listening to the Sailors talk. "Might I ask where you're originally from?" He was curious to know.

Where am I from Ish, that is an interesting question. I was born in Quebec Canada, moved to the States, and then grew up between England and Germany. That is the short answer. You might say I am a rolling stone.

Umm not good being a stone when one goes to sea. ;)

"Ah, a wayward traveller like me from the States? I was born to in the States, as well grew up here. I've decided to live in Spain after a few years of living in the States. But I've been riding all around Europe on my motorcycle. China is very nice, might settle down here. Of course, being a stone isn't a sailor's strong suit.

So true Ish. I have lived in Europe, Asia, the States and Canada. So it is hard to call one place home. So I make home where ever I am.

Ish I am putting some tea on there will be honey and rum on the side if you like Russian tea.

"I've had my fair share of Russian tea. But rum and honey? Guess I came at a real good time then." He said to the sailor, smiling at him.

I mix the tea, honey, and rum and fill two mugs. I slide one over to Ish.

The tea blend is Russian Caravan Ish. Here's to adventure and lovely young ladies.

"Here here." Raises his Mug and then starts to ask the Sailor while sipping his Russian Caravan. "Speaking of such, do any ladies come around here? I am very patient." He said sipping the hot tea.

Some ladies do stop by from time to time. As far as new ladies are concern it depends if they find us.

"Of course, most of us are finding them for sure. Or they find us, guaranteed." He chuckled sipping the Russian Caravan tea, enjoying immensely. Tapping his fingers on the bar, enjoying the tea a bit more.

The night was stormy flashes of lightening and pels of thunder made for a restless night. The aroma of fresh brewed coffee calls to me. Mother natures violent display bodes something ill as at hand.

I love stormy nights. I miss that here in the Northeast in the Winter.... It's snowing here right now. A heavy wet snow...
I am so looking forward to spring!
