Well I'm pleased that you welcome me here. It's amazing.Well I am pleased that you are feeling at ease here Ish.
Ahhh that I do Cait, but as they say from afar.![]()
Damn that RL but then that is where we do live after all and it and its needs must be seen to dear.
Honey I have always found Cait's advice to be sound.
Awwww, CG. You're making me.... speechless and yes, I'm blushing a little too. *Ish Cait and Logan are a very talented writing team and great folks.
's his cheek*Yeah it was. I just wish others took more of an interest in the place. You made me laugh, Ish when we all were there.Ah, I kinna figured it. Still, it was a small fun run. *He smiled, sipping his drink a bit more.* But thank you for telling me that, also you're welcome.![]()
I know I may have been a pain the first time I was there but I always knew how to make you laugh and smile. *smiling at her while he then sipped his drink*Yeah it was. I just wish others took more of an interest in the place. You made me laugh, Ish when we all were there.
Hello! She popped in onto her rafter before appearing to sit on the bar with a cup of coffee.
"Greetings Honey. I'm the resident rafter sitter here at the Pearl," she grinned over the rim of her cup, "I just wanted to pop in and say something, if you don't mind. They say write about what you know. I agree. Kind of. If you want to challenge yourself, there's nothing wrong with that and you're never too old to spread your wings if that's what you desire to do. I try to challenge myself now and then. What I don't know? I research and research more.
I've had men scared off by how I write and especially after talking with them, to get to know them a little better, and they find out I'm a published author. Then they ask, 'What are you doing writing here?' Well, because I enjoy it. It helps keep my mind sharp (Hush Logan. *grins*) and keeps my brain lubricated with words. I also tell them that the only way they're going to get better is to keep writing and if their ego can hold up, write with someone who is good. That's an excellent way to learn.
In any case, don't give up exploring."
Ahhh, CG.. you know you love me.Blame RL for pulling me around. I can never seem to be here as much as I would like.
So far everyone has given very sound advice!Ahhh that I do Cait, but as they say from afar.![]()

I do love that there's a place we can all just chat. I looked around a fair bit before creating an account and a lot of places seem pretty hostile to new members.Honey that is one of the reasons I started the Inn so writers could help each other.
I'm all about respect unless someone wants to put me under their thumb then things changeThe Inn try's to be welcoming to all. All that is asked is you treat others with respect Honey.
You're welcome here. And great place to start.I do love that there's a place we can all just chat. I looked around a fair bit before creating an account and a lot of places seem pretty hostile to new members.
Thank you! I was a member of a couple of forums relating to writing previously but they have all gone a bit down hill with all the newer tech out there people don't seem to use their words as much nowadays. You're welcome here. And great place to start.![]()
I think the belief that subs are nothing but subservient is false. In truth the Dom and sub relationship is symbiotic and in reality the sub is the one that starts a session and ends it. I know that is not the fantasy view but it is reality.I'm all about respect unless someone wants to put me under their thumb then things change
Why I make a terrible sub I guess.
Hey, some lucky Dom would love you as a sub. They don't, their loss.I'm all about respect unless someone wants to put me under their thumb then things change

I do agree to an extent on this, unfortunately true D/s relationships need a lot of trust and the freedom on the subs part to give up control. That is what I lack in the ability to trust someone else to have control over me.I think the belief that subs are nothing but subservient is false. Ah, I'm fine with not having a Dom I'm settled and know how to take care of my own needsHey, some lucky Dom would love you as a sub. They don't, their loss.![]()
Understandable, I'm a Dom who's sunless cause it's not easy building it up.Ah, I'm fine with not having a Dom I'm settled and know how to take care of my own needs![]()
Nope it's not easy building up but some people are worth trying for. I just haven't found one yet and looks like you are in the same boat. Good luckUnderstandable, I'm a Dom who's sunless cause it's not easy building it up.![]()
Thanks for that. I needed that boost today, thanks.Nope it's not easy building up but some people are worth trying for. I just haven't found one yet and looks like you are in the same boat. Good luck![]()

Ish, hopefully everyone learns something during their time in Lit. I know I have. You did make me laugh and smile. Many times you made me facepalm and shake my head as well but always with a smile on my face.I know I may have been a pain the first time I was there but I always knew how to make you laugh and smile. *smiling at her while he then sipped his drink*
*laughs softly* That's not a problem, Honey. Everyone has their limits. Besides, I haven't been around enough, the rafters have dust on them that makes me sneeze. I do need to do some dusting up there.Hello!
I fear I won't be joining you in the rafters, I'm far to scared of heights for that. I've even been known to sit on the floor instead of a high stool.
I do agree with writing around subjects that research has been done into, nothing makes me cringe more than a poorly developed background. My issue was more going for a sweet and cuddly 50k word romance and it turning into a throat grabbing steamy bit of nonsense.
It started out well just reverted back halfway through
I am not giving up on SRP even if I just dabble in private messages until one brave soul wants to take it public.
So far everyone has given very sound advice!
I use to think the same thing then wondered if it was just me seeing things that way. I am pretty introverted and felt intimidated until I finally realized that I am on the other side of a computer screen and people out there don't know the person that's actually at the keyboard. Then I met some wonderful folks on Lit and found them to be great friends I can count on.I do love that there's a place we can all just chat. I looked around a fair bit before creating an account and a lot of places seem pretty hostile to new members.
I think most people who are not in the D/s lifestyle have that false belief, CG. Each depend on the other to make such a relationship work. Personally, I can be labeled as a switch, but I prefer to be a sub. In real life, I have a lot of responsibilities and I take on a lot. Sometimes, I just need to let someone else be in charge so I can unwind. Of course, in a rare instance, my Dom has a tendency to try and be a "bully" and I have to step in and step up. Being a red head and being an "older" woman, I don't tolerate a lot of crap anymore. I just don't have the patience for it. He knows that. He also knows I love him and he loves me so we sort it out.I think the belief that subs are nothing but subservient is false. In truth the Dom and sub relationship is symbiotic and in reality the sub is the one that starts a session and ends it. I know that is not the fantasy view but it is reality.
Well at least I made you smile. Plus learning experiences are always fun for the best part.Ish, hopefully everyone learns something during their time in Lit. I know I have. You did make me laugh and smile. Many times you made me facepalm and shake my head as well but always with a smile on my face.
Well said, I'm just hoping to find that one sub. Be it whomever.Cait I do love the dynamic relationship between the Dom and his or hers sub. It can be a challenge to meet the needs of your sub at times. Of course communication and trust are the foundation of their relationship.
I think the other aspect that people miss is that not all Dom and subs are not fitted to each other's needs.
