part 11 of the China Pearl Inn

I wish you the best of luck in your house hunting Cait. I know how hard it is to find a place within your budget that meets your needs, and also appeals to you both. ;)
oh gosh.. is it ever. Granted we have only looked at three houses now and it's usually me that says nope but yesterday was a first, it was Dryft and that's fine. I saw the potential the house could be but he didn't like the size of the rooms. So, we go look at this other place on Thursday. We drove by there and it didn't look so great outside but who knows, the inside might surprise us.

Hold a good thought for me, CG. I go get that sonogram done on my thyroid tomorrow.

I will hold a good thought for your sonogram.

The outside can be normally taken care of fairly easy. But an inspection will tell you the condition of the house Cait and well worth the coast.

CG, we know our realtor fairly well. Before we buy any house, I will insist on a inspector. Especially for these older houses and I think Dryft has learned from his mistake on his first house. First things first. We have to go look at this place.

Cait I see you have your ducks in a row. Much better that herding cats. ;)
I hope you find a place soon to call home for many years to come.

Me too, CG. Me too. It was hard giving up the family home and selling it, but Dryft just couldn't come out there to live because of his kids. Besides, I was sorely becoming tired of the wild fires every summer. As for my ducks in a row... 😂🤣 I don't have ducks, I have squirrels and those bloody things do not want to line up, least of all, in a row. I should just shoot them. :ROFLMAO:

Well if you do not tell anyone squirrel mixed in with salt pork make a great pea soup Cait. ;)
I pour Cait two fingers of Irish.

To your health and a successful house hunt.

A balmy 43 degrees overcast with a chance of rain. Wednesday when it was supposed to snow and rain it was in the 50's and sunny Cait. Love weather forecasters.

Not much on my plate today.

The sun is shining, the temps are mild a little chilly and it is raining cats and dogs. Such a verity on this Tuesday noon.

A bleak overcast day. The clouds threaten more rain, and the chill in the air speaks more of winter than of spring. The Inn is quiet, the common room empty. I pour three fingers of Irish into my coffee to hopefully warm the day.

Morning to any who may be about and to those that hide in the shadows.

The weather in these parts has been all over the place. One day highs in the upper 50's the next nearly 85. It is a very strange Spring.

The Inn is deadly quite as I sip my morning coffee.

It is May the 11yh and no one has stopped in sense 20 April. A shame the Inn has apparently outlived its usefulness.

It never outlives its usefulness, CG. Real life just steals us away from time to time. You got any more coffee back there? *she leans over the bar to get a better look*

Just might have Cait. So a coffee with a touch of Irish?
It seems you are the old friend to stop by when you can escape from real life. I have a delicious little story going with another old friend Cait. :p

Never, CG. We always need a place to go. Mmmm, yes please. You know how I love the Irish. *grins*
Whenever I can CG. I noticed! I just haven't had a moment to stop and read. Logan keeps me pretty busy with our little tale.

So I would be interested in what you think if you get a chance to read it Miss.

I pour Cait a coffee with a more than generous splash of Irish.

May is coming to the end and my favorite story seems to be ghosted. All in all it has been a rather unfulfilling month to date.

Ah! but the bar needs polishing the rafters need dusting and there are weeds to be pulled in the courtyard.

Yeah, I got the rafters, CG!

Thanks Cait you get the rafters, I'll enjoy the view. ;)

So what have you been up to?

Not a lot. My sciatica has kept me on either a heating pad or an ice pack for all of last week and a wee bit this week, but I'm doing much better this week so far. *knocks on wood* Any plans for the holiday weekend, CG?

I am sorry to hear that your back is giving you problems. Mine is riddled with old injuries and RA now so I move slowly a creek like and old chair Cait. ;)
