*laughing* I'm a typical sis. He's my baby brother and even though he came to live with me when our mom (single mother) passed away when he was 16, how I treated him was never different. I poked fun at him every chance I got. If anything, he's been a great brother. He went to work at 16 while he finished up high school to help us out. He graduated high school, thank heavens. He and I have been very close, which I think is unusual. I left home when he was little and we never had any connection because my little family seemed to be always traveling. By the time we settled down in the states, he was practically grown but we were close, always have been.

That's great Cait. My Baby sister and older brother got along best when there was three hundred miles between us.

Not so much in the mood to drink, I mosey around the space getting reunited with the decor. I peruse the art and pictures that adorn the walls as I periodically close my eyes and inhale faint echoes of leather, tobacco, traces of various perfumes, and aromas of meals past that had been served to the Inns's patrons.

A slow day by and large GH. I have had no stories to post to so far today, so I am a bit bored.

I get it. Luckily DW has taken pity on me and taken me on as a writing partner. I fear she may grow weary of my use of jargon and the like.

Still, it does feel mighty good to be writing again. I am really rusty, but hopefully my mojo won't be long in returning.

Cait is a very talented writer. We wrote together many years agog GH. Now we are just good friends. I am a bit depressed in the lack of imaginative writers here at lit. There are too many one or two lines posters, Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Honestly, I am struck by the seeming lack of people here period. Seems to take forever for new posts to appear. Then again, perhaps I am misremembering the old days.

No GH in the past we had very dedicated writers that would post every day or every couple of days. They were interested in crafting a story. Very are very few of that Calabar left I fear.

I didn’t mean new posts for rps, I get that life calls and things happen. But in the general chat rooms there doesn’t seem to be a lot of discussion or participation. Like I said, maybe I am misremembering.

No, you're memory is not going to the ether somewhere, GH. There was a time, probably around the same time you were here last, that various rooms boomed. There were a lot more people participating or creating topics to get involved in. There's no telling what created the ghost town, so to speak. Back then, people had more time. Maybe there was more interest. Who knows. Perhaps this way of forums is dying. It won't be the first time. I use to RP on a forum called, "Camelot, The Last Bastion of Chivalry" and unfortunately, I watched people fall off of that one too. It happens. Life happens, I suppose. Of course, you can't keep anything running without help from others. Personal tastes change. It is, what it is.

She fades in with a pen behind one ear and her keyboard in her hand.

CG! Where are you? I need something stiff to put in my coffee and I know, I know, phrasing. laughs. I've got two more responses to make to threads before I can get on with anything else. How's the weather at your end of the coast? C an you believe, it's in the 70's today here in Minnesota? It's been cool all last week. Now this. So, strange.

I slide over three fingers of Irish. Last week was a mix of sun and rain but in the upper 50's. Though on Wednesday they are calling for a mix of snow and rain Cait.

So I see your busy writing that's great.

Snow and rain? You guys? blinks. Well, I guess I should be grateful for small mercies. I know the temps are going to drop a bit this week but nothing uncomfortable. Rain? Possible for this time of year. I really don't mind so long as it isn't snow. I've had enough of that.

Salute.

She downs the Irish.

Nothing like a bit of Irish down my throat.

chuckles.

Ahem. 😇

I wish you the best of luck in your house hunting Cait. I know how hard it is to find a place within your budget that meets your needs, and also appeals to you both. ;)
