part 11 of the China Pearl Inn

The day is a bit warmer, and the sun is playing peek-a-boo with the clouds seeming unsure to remain warm and sunny or rainy. Ah well mother nature can be a bitch at times.
G'day to any who may be about and to those that hide in the shadows.

Tio it seems mother Nature can't make her mind what season it is supposed to be.

A bit of Irish sir?

Of course, cg, Thank you. A tumbler full of the sunset reddening her breast at end of day. 20 years of age (the whiskey and the woman)!

The morning dawns with a marked chill in the air as the weather continues to see-saw between spring and late winter. A mug of strong coffee with a healthy splash of dark rum seems to be the best answer.
Morning to any who may be about and to those that hide in the shadows.

To you as well, and definitely Easter - the celebration of Ostre, the goddess of the dawn, of spring and rebirth. Her symbols are rabbits, eggs, and children.

Jack happily moves from the kitchen with a tray full of treats. There is a four-egg omelet complete with cheese and bacon and on the side are several hot buttered biscuits—a large pitcher of iced tea with a glass and a cup of coffee. Sitting down at a table by the open French doors, Jack leans back and inhales the lovely fresh spring air, and he looks around. It seems his Lego train set is still up and running, and some progress is being made, but by whom? Well, a few fresh posts up asking questions and updating a long-time roleplay, which he enjoys.

Digging into his food, he relaxes and smiles on a lovely Sunday.

Good to see you, Jack; you've been away for a while. cg wasn't feeling too well, so Cait and I did some spring cleaning. We didn't touch your Lego village and train, though; we didn't want to disturb it. Everything seems in order.

Well, thank you, and I appreciate that and only hope to attend the village. I hope our host feels better soon, but it is delightful to be back during this lovely spring.

The bluebirds and robins are back, the rabbits are grazing, and the chipmunks are foraging. The sap is up in the maples and some have started to flower.

"Daffodils are blooming already, amongst other things. I'd say that Spring is definitely here, now if only the Universe would warm things up a bit," was her contribution as she came wandering into the Pearl for her morning coffee.

"I definitely have some responses to attend to for stories, but not today. I still have family to attend to this fine Monday morning. I just came in for my second cup of coffee. Tio, Jack and CG, good to see you all, as always."

It is always good to see you Cait and share a mug of coffee with you. My daffodils are just blooming, but my tulips have been up for nearly a month. They are an old verity they don't look like the modern tulips, but I love them.

I adore tulips. I always thought the daffodils that are outside my neighbor's house was a good indication that Spring had arrived and it's been a good indicator, but I remember it was either last year or the once before that, that the Universe fooled me and it snowed after they started to bloom. So, now, I just wait and see, but I've been taking out my winter clothes from the closet and setting them aside, not quite ready to put them away just yet, but soon. I'm feeling the itch. LOL

You must scratch that ich. Oh its for flowers I was thinking it might be a more sensual itch Cait. 🙄
When I lived in New Hampshire the daffodils would poke and push their way up out of the ice and snow.

I enjoyed a lovely walk this morning, and I was able to manage between a meeting and other work duties. A wonderful day makes this a bit better.

We have gloominess and soon rain today. It's the type of day that just makes you want to curl up under a fuzzy blanket and either sleep, watch tv or read.

Sorry for being MIA this week. It's just been a hectic busy few days. Every time I find myself with a few moments of peace, there's just so little enthusiasm to go to the computer to write. Today is not turning out much better, but I got some planting done so I'm going to try and write. I may not be able to get to everyone today, but I'm going to try.
