part 11 of the China Pearl Inn

pops in for a brief moment.

I have survived the mammogram! And the doctor's visit, which, by the way, went well. A change in medication, which usually means I'm going to be sick while adjusting. shrugs shoulders, I can deal. Been there, done that. Not my first rodeo.

As for AI, I like to use it for research and I think it's great for creating art.

Waves to everyone present. I'll try to write tomorrow. Severe thunderstorms here and the sirens just went off which means a tornado set down somewhere nearby. ACK! And Alexa just said that we're under a tornado watch. Signing off. I'm going to shut down my computer for the night.

My sympathy over the mammogram. Honestly. I've had one necessitated by the "side effects" of a prescribed medicine. Be very careful of AI for research; it's been known to hallucinate even in the absence of digital drugs.

Stay safe, and if you must get caught in the whirlwind, try to end up somewhere over the rainbow; I hear there's an Emerald Isle or City or something such there.

Thanks, LM.

Although we had the tornado sirens go off twice here, we're all good and today is a beautiful day. After I get some writing done, I've got some seeds to get started and some flowers to plant. My hell hounds have settled down now that they've had their walk. 🤣

Okay, off to get some writing done. I wasn't feeling real good yesterday or I would have done some writing then.

Thanks Tio. I know it's short and quick but I never look forward to that. Necessary, I get that, but I don't have to like it. I never use AI for research and I never take what I read as golden. Educational, yes. Golden? Never.

Made it through the storms though our tornado sirens went off. Had only minor hail fall, thank goodness. Still haven't found the Emerald City though. Not sure if I should be sad about that.

Cait Just what it is.

Take care of yourself, Cait. You too, cg. And you as well, Lotus Maiden'

I'm doing the best I can: Pacemaker interrogation this past Monday; CT scan for my vascular doc this coming Monday; cardiologist next Thursday; respirologist in June; waiting for an endocrinologist referral. It's a good thing I'm not ill, and for all the troubles of being old, I prefer it to not getting any older.

And you take care as well, Tio. CG and I are in agreement, getting old sucks, but what can you do? It's going to happen whether we like it or not.

And it is better than not aging. I used to start my class in forensics with a skeleton on the desk. I'd ask the young students who didn't want to get old. Many hands would go up. I'd then wave over the skeleton, and point out that he's been 22 for the past 30 years. I'd ask again who didn't want to get old. No hands.

Truth! Whoeer said die young and leave a good-looking corpse, was full of BS. What good would that have served? Except maybe the person's ego.

I'll leave my corpse in any condition it ends up. Then it's off to Tennessee to be dumped in a field, forest, or pond. Every day grad students will come to make observations, and after I'm decomposed, they'll gather up my bones to clean, degrease, and bleach to go into the documented collection. That's my afterlife; I'll continue to teach and research long after my ego is gone.

Jack walks around with a cup of coffee and a donut as he walks through the Inn's gardens before returning inside.

He turns on some music, relaxes in his favorite booth, turns on the train set, and watches the village light up and the trains begin going around the board.

What to add next, Jack ponders as he thinks about his posts.

Tio is sitting, nestled, hidden in the wing chair facing the window. He sees Jack with his cup in the garden and hears him come in. As the train starts up,

"Good evening Jack," he says as he turns around and leans over to look at Jack. I was just working on some posts when you came in. Any luck with those new RP ideas you posted?"

Walking from the kitchen doorway into the main room, she rose her cuppa at Jack after noticed he was holding one as well.

A low whimpered, a bit surprise with Tio emerging from the well hidden chair.

This inn surely has had some surprising and fascinating entrances. Greetings all!

That it does! As I make my way down from my loft to pour a cup of steaming hot coffee.
Morning all and to those that hide in the shadows.

Nothing yet, but if you don't put anything out there, you won't get any results. This place used to be more flush with willing writers, but ideas are out there, so we'll see. I hope your writing is going well.
