Yes they are. In fact the marks should be cherished, especially if you are in a new relationship. Those marks will be the first of many for you both.

I suggest you explore them, glide your fingers and hand over them, feel them, feel the tingle on your skin as fingers pass over them. Look in the mirror and admire them. I hope he/she took you in hand in front of a mirror for your first view of your marks. watching as his/her fingers ran over the marks they had just made. Waiting for you to say thank you.

I personally like to ensure I separate the butt cheeks and get two marks 'inside' stripping close to the anal rose.

I have always been a slave to the mirror but recently gazing into one has taken on a whole new meaning. I become aroused all over again each time I do exactly the acts you mention...it's all too beautiful.
