Pending -- How long?

Yay! Story just got approved.

So both categories are just taking a good long while.

Good luck to everyone on their submissions :)

It really depends what I'm waiting for, sometimes I can be very patient. Just for this... I'm not. *beats keyboard*

Er, sorry. Still, nothing of mine has been approved yet, and for some of them, it's really been a while.

Earth Day contest still takes priority over normal submissions.

here, a poem while you wait:

Patient patience,
Virtuous virtue,
Timely time
I'll shut up now.

I, too, am waiting. Been waiting for damn near ten days.

I have eleven submissions pending, none of which have a single view.

I am sad, and very, very tempted to throw the next twenty up there as a thumbing of the nose to the lag demons.

Would that be evil, childish, or just plain ridiculous?

If you've got them and they're finished, put them up.

My second story, though, hasn't had a single view. Not sure if they wouldn't look at it until the first one went through.

Brilliant. I feel special now.

I know I might have come across as bitching, which I swear I'm not, I just like to vent my unfounded frustrations once in a while. It makes me feel better. :)

The only story of mine that they have looked at is one that has been rejected before. This time I put in a note basically saying "I'm changing tenses on purpose here" and hope they accept that.

Oh, I have them, and they're finished... and they are... really long. I have a bunch of Celeb cat stuff as well, and if I really got a bug up my butt, I'd just submit the fifty or so pieces all at once, lol. :D

That'll show them!

I wouldn't do even if there was instant submission acceptance, lol. That many stories at once is just cruel and unusual punishment for the readers!

*dances*

Three out of four have just been approved. My German Illustrated poem is the first one in its category!

The Hiding Game Ch. 01

Addiction

Addiction actually seems to be well-liked so far, which calms me immensely. I was so worried about that story

Work while Waiting

Reading all the other posts of Writers waiting to be approved is reassuring. Like you all, I get a real charge when one of my stories gets approved. I find doing research on future stories a real attractive diversion during the wait.

Or, more writing :) I love the burst of energy I have right now, since two stories and a poem got approved all at once. Putting the links in my sig, watching the votes... It's fun to be productive and get right back to writing, too.

I hope your stories get approved soon!

Thank you, Jen.

Thanks for your good wishes. Perhaps it's like good sex. Best if you have a little time to anticipate what is about to happen. Wishing you well also.

In keeping with the sex thing...

Too much foreplay bores me to tears.

Just approve them already!!! *shakes a fist at the ModGods.*

All German poetry is handled by Cleopatra--see incoming PM.

Ooooops! Characters won't upload. In the immortal words of Emily Litella, "Well, then...never mind."

Hmm. Okay. I'm not sure what that means.

After reading "Gebunden" in German and English, I transliterated it--I know not why--into ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Looked pretty cool, so I tried to post it here, and later tried to PM it to you. No go. Lit's servers won't accept the characters.

Probably just as well. If you were poet laureate to Cleopatra, you'd probably going bananas trying to rhyme those strange looking and probably unpronouncable characters.
