Okay, I had to mention this one before I go out for my daily swim.
Lady comes up to the counter and has 2 snack wraps in her hand, she said they were suposed to be ranch, but they are chipotle. I apologize, have the grill start new ones and tell her I'll bring them out to her, no big deal right?
Wrong!
I get out to the table and she thanks me and is just as nice as can be....but then her husband looks at me and says that he has a question for me. Okay I'm almost off and I have plans tonight so I'm in a pretty good mood, I indulge him. So he asks me if we just throw the food away when a customer brings up food that's a wrong order and we replace. I say yes, that's how it works. He informs me that this is waistful and it would be less waistful if we offered to let the customer keep the wrong food and then replace the food, so why don't we do that the less waistful way....about this point his wife is anoyed with him and very obviously so. I, wanting to remain polite, told him that it was policy to do things that way. He asked why and I pulled something out my ass because I know he wouldn't like the real reason why. The real reason why we don't offer upfront for some one to keep the food is because then all of a sudden they always have their order wrong, or find a hair in it, or something like that, so not only are they getting the food they want and paid for, but they are getting it twice! This guy just wouldn't let it go tho, he said it's too waistful we need to change polocy.
Well call corporate up and tell them, I don't make the rules bud. And it's not going to matter a hill of beans to mcd's if you think one of their polocies is waistful. I wonder if he knows that after 15 mins we have to throw out the meat in that tray. Mcd's does that to "insure quality food for our customers" and lets face it, he wouldn't want a hamburger that's been in the cabnit for an hour....how waistful is polocy now when we're talking the quality of your food.
