I am far from a "beloved Regular" so I don't feel the need for a double pseudonym and while I agree to a point that new posters do it to keep from getting "jumped" I belive the main reason most Beloveds do it is because they have put a lot of time into building a persona here. They want people to believe certain things about them, be they real or in fantasy only . This is a place you can be anything you want and not have to pay the price that we do in "real life " society. I think most regulars would rather post as a guest speaker than be ridiculed for their true feelings on some subjects, left over feelings from high school I suppose, make sure you always say & do the right thing or you just might lose your place in the hierarchy here. In my book that makes you a coward....on the other hand ,the one in which I happen to stand, some people just don't post anything , they read a thread,might even have strong feelings about it but let it go because they don't always know the "right" thing to say...maybe just another form of cowardly actions.

Second, and I am sure that you will pardon me again, were not 'the world and his wife' not invited to use this board? You see, I am at a loss to know just how else one becomes invited. I was under the impression that only the owners of the site had the ultimate power to invite or dismiss.

Time for a diatribe

Freedom is a wonderfully punishing thing. By giving people a place they can say whatever they want, you risk them saying things you don't condone in a manner you don't condone. In the case of guests, I treat them no differently than I would any other post. If it is a load of bull, I read it then ignore it and move on. If it does have worth, I read it and wish that whoever wrote it had the guts to post under their regular username. Maybe then we would be a more self regulating body if the members were more honest with each other. I mean if people are annoyed at how much Naked Huny posts, why not tell her (or ignore her posts) instead of starting a thread designed to hurt her feelings. I had wanted to post a similar message on that thread, but decided it was better to let it die out than prolong it with more posts.

Damn that sounds more snotty than I wanted.....

No, I am not afraid to post my real name, heck I believe most of the people on hereknow it from going to my website, its Todd Brian Forgrave. I have had the name bobtoad since i was like 14 i think even when my family spoke to me most of them called me that, so i guess it just sort of stuck with me. the 777 is just a new thing added about 7 years ago to represent the newest stage in growth in my life.
