It's just from the fires and when the wind blows it towards your town. Those little fire tornado videos were like, the tame shit. When the fires get really bad, the sky gets all clouded over with smoke and it literally rains ash. Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened >_>

Not where I live, but this is exactly how it looked. Except at some point the whole sky was just orange like that and a bit darker with clouds. Oh, and the ashes were thicker >_>
