Photo ID For Voters Favored By Majority Of American People

Photo ID is the most absurdly trivial 'roadblock' to voting rights.
No, it isn't. That was chosen specifically because certain groups that skew heavily Democratic are less likely to have a photo ID or to be able to get one very easily (and as I noted above, in some states that are pushing for voter ID, they've actively made it more difficult to get.) It has nothing to do with intelligence level and everything to do with certain sociopolitical realities of our country's recent past.

And of course your arguments aren't exclusive to the USA. I just find it interesting that you're so fixated on voting rights in a country whose relationship with your own country can best be summed up as, "We're not the same as them, dammit!"

Did not happen. I was watching throughout the night (it was Wednesday afternoon in Australia) and not a single one of those states stopped counting for the night.

You know what DID happen? Trump declared - before election day - that he was going to declare victory while he was still ahead, regardless of how many votes had yet to be counted. This was when both sides knew there would be a "red mirage" early on because Trump supporters were a lot more likely to vote in person than by mail, and the in-person votes were counted first. So it was all about fooling people like you, and for once he actually succeeded at something.

You're FUCKED! 😁

Dude is losing it

That's how he works. Pretends to be sane and then rolls off the deep end.

All of you here do understand, don't you, that voter fraud DOES NOT HAPPEN? That noncitizens ARE NOT VOTING?

I would hope it is extremely difficult for non citizens to get voter ID.
So would I, but the whole point is, it can also be extremely difficult for citizens. Just because that's not the case for you doesn't mean it's not the case for anyone.

I notice objections to voting machines in this thread . . . which is a whole other discussion than ID.

When W was president, a lot of Dems were worried the machines would be rigged. The best solution proposed at the time was that a paper copy of every ballot be retained. But the machines could be trusted to scan them. It's easy to make a voting machine hack-proof, just don't ever connect it to the Internet.

Given the overwhelming major of Americans across the isle and across the ethnic spectrum are in favor of voter ID, seems like a moot point.

There were times when majorities were in favor of racial segregation and against women's suffrage, too. Didn't make it right then, doesn't make it right now.

Of course he does. But the right have their story, and they're sticking to it!
