Awwww...... she's precious NG.

And believe me, the dog is weird. He won't eat canned food at all. Hates it. Loves avocadoes, walnuts, strawberries, blackberries, french fries with chili, onions (always get the ones in anything I'm eating), he's more like a rabbit then a dog. And his toes are so long. Thats' why he's named knuckles. I've even seen him curl them around things and pick them up. Very weird.

Dang Kiki...he eats better than me:D

I love this thread....I love animals and especially dogs...they always have a way of making you smile and feel loved...

I love Chihuahuas, they are so loving and funny.....

Big hug Kiki

Hi Everyone.....I love animals too..:D I have a dog and she's a mutt... She is part German Shepherd, Lab, and Huskey but she looks like a German Shepherd, her ears are those of a Lab but her butt is all Huskey...

I took her for training at 4 months and she did so well they wanted me to do more with her but I felt she was a family dog and not in the Army... I still do her training when we go walking and she is very loyal to me. Right now she is losing her fur and driving me nuts...:D

But I have had :
Cats...
rabbits...
ducks...
birds...
fish...
lizards...
hamsters...
snake...
frogs...
turtles...

:D

I've spent most of my years loving dogs, but have fallen in love with our darling kitty! Although, quite honestly, he grows more each day, and is a "terror" at night until he wears himself out!

Love pets of all kinds!

:cattail:
Hi Jenny. Yeah a cat is a bit more nocturnal then a lot of other pets. One word of warning. If he sleeps in the bed with you and Oman, don't start playing games by running your finger under the sheets and letting him chase it. Big mistake, besause he will feel that anything moving under a sheet is fair game and that can lead to severe pain for Oman and long nights without for you, lol. And son't spend a lot of money on toys for him. The less it costs, the more likely he'll play with it. Make most of his toys. And not yarn balls. A cats tongue has barbs on it as I'm sure you know if he's ever licked you. They all face back into his mouth. That to help them with their prey. However, if they are playing with yarn and the end of the thread sticks to their tnogue they will continue to lick trying to get it off and it will end up be swallowed. And swallowed and swallowed, until they have a long string going through them. If this ever happens, never pull on it. Take them to the vet imedietly. That string can slice their insides to ribbons. Instead take some old socks and roll them up into a ball. Put a piece of ribbon on a strip of elastic (not corded elastic) and hang it where he can barely reach it. roll up balls of paper and toss them for him. get small stuffed toy from the baby department and drag them for him. There are many ways to wear him out that will cost you little or nothing. Just think over each toy before you give it to him and make sure that it won't cause problems later.

Thanks for the hug Studdog. Yes, dogs always give completely and without regard to your faults. They love unconditionally. Cats can be just as affectionate, they simply have different ways of showing it. I love animals also. All animals, each in its own way. I always seem to pick the ones that no one else wants because of the way they look or act. And they always seem to be the wierd but very lovable ones. And many of my pets have been rescued from people or conditions that have made them as damaged as I am. Once they are assured that they are ok, which may take months, they are the most loving of them all.

Lol, sounds like me. I think I've had just about every kind of pet. Except things like cammels and llamas and such.
I simply love animals.

Well I have to add to this thread. I love dogs. As a kid growning up I was allergic to everything. Now the only thing I am allergic to are cats. But dogs no longer bother me.
When I decided on a breed, I went with Golden Retrievers. I have even breeded them and plan on doing that again.
Here is my current female and she is a handful.

I'm doing ok for now but I'm beginning to get nervous again. I have another appointment on Monday to have the bottom teeth pulled. By the time it gets here I'll be a wreck.

Hey!!!

Knightshadow...I LOVE the pic of your cats!!!!

They look JUST LIKE my Skitz and Stinkin!!!!!!!!
(who I had to leave when me and hubby split...I miss them MORE than anything else...*sighs*)..:(

We have two cats at home. One, the orange tabby, is an older pound kitty that we rescued the day before she was to meet her maker. The other is a Birman, which are very dog-like in manner. He was a breeder runt, and at some point when he was a baby had his tail broken. (Yep, he was a bargain, lol!) He gallops around the house at my side, and never fails to greet us at the door when we return home from being out. Paws up, peeking out of the glass in the bottom of the door, he gets so excited when the door is opened. Birman's are soft as bunnies, and have no undercoat so they never get matted. He also has crystal clear blue eyes.

This picture is a couple of years old, the Birman is full grown now. My son took the picture, placing the orange cat in the bathroom sink at our old house in TX. She absolutely hates his guts, and was literally "growling" when he took the photo, LOL!

OMG, if looks could kill, lol. The orange one looks like she wants to shred something, or someone, lol. The Birman is beautiful.

Hun, getting another is hard after losing a friend but the new one will hold a place in your heart just like the other one did. I've lost many pets over the years, especially during my marriage. I always swore that there wouldn't be any more for him to hurt but I always gave in and found another. I wouldn't give up one single moment of the time I had with each even knowing that when I was atached to them enough that he would kill them to hurt me. They all hold a special place in my heart.

Thanks, KiKi, for the advice!:rose:

Our baby is a bit strange (even for a cat!). He sits in our bathroom sink willingly (we keep the door shut when we're out now), and even likes the spritz he gets from the spray bottles we purchased today (suggested as a training device when he doesn't respond to "NO"). Found him curled up against the bottle during his nap tonight!

Here's another shot of him playing with his scratching post.

:D :cathappy:
