Science experiment placed on the moon during Apollo 11 by Buzz Aldrin. It still works and sends data back to Earth. The data is a collection of measurements that scientists on Earth can tap into to find the exact distance to the moon, the moon's orbit around Earth, and other data. It proved that the moon has a fluid core and not a solid core, and that it is moving away from Earth about 1.5 inches per year.
