Piercing question

Well, not really a piercing question per se.

I got my nipple pierced about a week ago. Right one. No, not getting one on the left one. It appears to be healing normally and is not usually that painful.

My question regards something slightly different.

My bene-friend (the guy I have been sleeping with) is half way across the world. I want to know the best way to tell him about my piercing, because I honestly don't think he'll like it. I've been heavily leaning towards just waiting until he's back in the States and I see him in person, because then it will probably be healed enough for it not to hurt (I'm hoping; I'm usually a medium to slow healer when it comes to piercings) and I will have had enough time to think about it.

What would be the best way to reveal my piercing to him (in person) keeping in mind that from what I know about him he might not like it at all (and I would like to get naked with him as often as possible)?

Any stories about revealing piercings in any way would also probably be useful.

P.S. We do not have a d/s "relationship". If that's at all relevant.
