Pink Orchid 2026: Story Event for Women-Centric Erotica - Official Support Thread

So, all this time I planned on submitting something I'd written previously in the market that's never been on here.

Then three days ago I was hit by a new idea and one that takes me back to the BDSM genre which I haven't delved in-as the sole focal point at least-in over a decade. (This is the story referenced in my new story old feel thread)

Role Reversal

Steve finds out give a little to get a little can work both ways.

I haven't been this ramped up for a story in a longtime.

The muse works in mysterious ways! Happy writing to you. There’s still good time.

I finished my pink orchid submission. It is still a vignette, but it definitely has more dialogue than my first vignette - Fragments - First Love
This will be the second story that I will post

Excellent! I look forward to reading it.

I was hoping to do a trifecta - enter it in the Valentine's Day contest, the Pink Orchid challenge and the 750 word challenge. It is just over a thousand words and I can't condense it anymore without losing "La Petite Mort"

The ingredients list for my 12k word story for Pink Orchid:

2 cups dark academia
1 cup sapphic necking
1 cup sports action
½ cup distressing sex dreams
¼ cup pre-Title IX bullshit
2 tbsp non-graphic menstruation talk

The first two ingredients are in common with mine, interestingly. I think I also have a cup of light academia. And a cup of broken hearts. But I made extra (it's a novel). I think I limited my story to just a drop of non-graphic menstrual discussion. No sports, no sex dreams, no title iX, but I do have a half cup of sex robots.

Are they little robots or is the cup so big?

Two robots, one cup? 😱
If you want a teaser, the robots (and the two FMC from the novel) appear in a mediocre very short story (3K) I wrote early on, called Dolls. That story was not serious but I liked the characters, so the novel is their backstory. As largely a pantser, it was interesting having to write to a defined point.

Friendly Advice, my upcoming Pink Orchid entry, does have exactly two dolls in it, but they never get together. You have to read the short story to see that part.

One week before we can start posting! I’m pretty sure I’ll post mine very early. I also have a 750 and I might try to make myself post it at different time, just to have something to refresh for longer.

Mine is now accepted and scheduled to publish Feb 1! Laurel even agreed to give me a few extra characters in the title!

Now to start thinking about a couple of 750s for the other February challenge... 🤔

I have three done (well one is still be picked over by beta-readers). Hoping to have two more done, but one of them is ballooning and getting huge! I'm having too much fun writing it.

Oh, I hadn't thought about scheduling them in advance. But I bet there will be a flood of stories on Feb 1st, so might be wise to hang back a few days. There's so few slots on the new lists these days with the new format.

Since I am entering my vignette in the Valentine's Day contest, the 750 word challenge and the pink orchid event, I am definitely going to submit it February the 1st. This way I know I have met the deadline for the Valentine's Day contest
