Pink Orchid 2026: Story Event for Women-Centric Erotica - Official Support Thread

I'm pretty sure my story will be ready for February 1.

Friendly Advice. A tale of two women's changing relationship over five and a half years.

I have a couple of short scenes to fill in on it, plus lots more editing. I'm very excited about it. It's definitely my best novel and maybe my best story.

If I had more patience and restraint I'd have saved "Annie's Inhibition Removal Therapy" for PO 2026. As it is, I just wrote 600-ish words on a new story that would be a good fit. All I need to do now is find the energy to complete it, and the patience not to complete it too soon.
For the life of me I can't remember what story this is. Perhaps "My Wife the Witch", which I started around that time. The good news is that it's grown to 2.5k words in the meantime.

Opening line: "How do you know if your wife is a witch?"

I hope you’ll let us know! How to tell your wife is a witch, that is.

My ex-girlfriend (the last one before I met my wife) was a witch. I knew because she simply told me so. Wiccans usually aren't shy about it.

Not a Wiccan. The story explicitly says so:

How do you know if your wife is a witch?

I don’t mean one of those spiritual types with a tendency to go on about “the Goddess” and how every woman is a magical creature. My wife wears business suits and heels, and aside from a preference for dangly earrings she doesn’t have any mystical jewellery to clank in her hair.

And I’m not saying she’s a witch doctor, or voodoo priestess, with cards and black candles and creepy eyes that roll back into her head, and maybe a huge black rooster to stalk around after her.

The closest Alys has is Nick, who’s black but a cat. He’s big, and admittedly he follows her from room to room if he has the chance. But he’d never hop onto a broomstick if she put on a pointy hat and invited him to go flying around beneath the full moon.

My first Amorous Goods story has the husband realizing the sign at the end of the story that his wife is a witch who was using him. It's actually my best rated story and the only one I have over 4.5!

Two weeks before submitting window opens! My story is all polished and ready to go. How’s everyone else doing? This thread has been awfully quiet, so I assume nobody has any problems portraying women and my work here is done 😁

I'm working on the final draft of a new Dandelion Greene story, and thinking about submitting it under this banner... Hopefully it's sufficiently on-theme, I'm still not 100% certain I understand Pink Orchid 😅

Mine will be submitted the first day, I'm pretty sure. I spent much of yesterday listening to the first half of it be read to me. Biggest issue right now is whether I put it in LS or N&N.

My Loving Wives story for Pink Orchid is done. I think you'll appreciate this one at least a little more than last year's.

It’s okay. I think you’d have a hard time writing a story that doesn’t qualify.

In my experience N&N is super quiet category, so I recommend LS.

😄 we shall see! Special thanks to you for not asking me to beta read. I’ll read it once it’s published. I promise.

Where did the time go?
I have made no progress on anything.

Don’t worry! The next step is to procrastinate for another 4-5 weeks, and then give painful birth to a story in a going-to-miss-the-deadline anguished frenzy. You got this. I believe in you.

I think I have something for this. One I wrote a long time ago, before I started posting here, and have been debating whether and when to throw it into the mix. I think it fits.

The one main character is bi, but prefers women and the other started out hetero, so I'm trying to decide if it has too much hetero to be a good fit in LS. I've posted in N&N before, and yeah it's sleepy.

@THBGato suggested reading her Forty to give me guidance as to how much hetero was acceptable in LS.

Thanks for the thought, though.

Well, there sure are some readers in LS who don't appreciate any penises in their stories. So without determining your exact penises-to-lesbians ratio, it's difficult to say for certain.

I don't know if you'd agree, but I think what matters is who the FMC ends up with - if she ends up with another woman by the end of the story (with no intention of returning to romantic relation ships with men) then my feeling is LS readers won't have any problem with the story. I've seen lots of well-received, high scoring stories like this (and have even written one myself).

To how many decimal places is this ratio calculated?

I don't want to give any spoilers (I'm hoping all of you will read the story, even if it is 60K words). One MC ends up in a long term lesbian relationship (they're about to get married), the other is back to casual bi-sexual relationships, but none of them are explicitly covered, just mentioned in passing. Otherwise, after the first quarter of the story, it's all lesbian.
