I assume it's like normal poker except the looser(s) of a hand have to remove an item of clothing. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

I played a couple of times; lost once and came out even the other. And yes, when I lost I spent the rest of the night naked in front of everyone else!

I've also seen it played where you bet with articles of clothing, no raise or 1 raise.

Unfortunately, you can fold rather than place your pair of briefs into the pot...

So when you fold, you also remove an item of clothing and keep it beside you. You can bet it in a future hand.


I've also had it played with IOUs for favors. The "no raise" rule is dropped, of course.

Instead of tossing in your panties you can put in an IOU for a minute long kiss, etc. Upon agreement by the group, certain favors can be deemed worth a multiple of other favors -- for example, a shirt = a kiss, bra/briefs = a grope, 2 kisses = 1 grope, 2 gropes = 1 fingering/hand job, etc.

The winner often passes out the IOUs won to others so that everyone gets to collect something from someone else when you settle up.

We didn't play that if you folded you had to strip. Maybe we just played a wimpy way. If you lost the hand you had to strip but if you folded it was a pass until the next round from what I remember.

We played where there was no folding. The worst hand lost a piece of clothing, best hand could choose to remove it. The guys wouldn't take off each other's clothes, but enjoyed it when us ladies did.

Learning how to play

I remember playing "cards" with a sixteen year babysitter and my brother when I was a pre-teen. I didn't really know what the game was about, but even then it was alot of fun! Both my brother and I ended up naked but shyly covering ourselves with our underware or a pillow (can't remember clearly), and she ended up in only her panties. This was along time ago in the days before the headlines were filled with everyday examples of bad behavior and abuse, and I distinctly remember that none of us were forced to play or truly embarassed by playing.

When, where and how else do children learn to play [intimately] without aggression, embarassment, or being "used" by an older person? I know that is definitely wrong, and I hope others do too! At the same time I can't imagine parents knowing everything about their children's behavior as they grow older, and as an adult now I hope I finally understand why I played and didn't talk about it. Play for fun. Play to learn. Play nicely.

Strip poker can get way too complicated, especially when you add alcohol to the mix....I always liked strip pool: whenever you miss a shot, take off an item of clothing. Of course, that only worked when I had a friend with a pool table.

My suggestion? Pick an easier game, like spoons. Everybody reaching in, hands colliding, and a clear loser to have to pull off their clothes

We used to play where there was no folding and the loser removed an article of clothing. Everyone could only have 4 articles of clothing on, so the game went pretty fast. Once everyone was naked, then it turned into dare poker. Everyone agreed on the dare BEFORE the cards were dealt. Then the loser had to perform the dare (sometimes on the winner ).

Of course, everyone was drinking as well.

Over the summer, my boyfriend and I invented strip checkers. You need twelve items of "clothing" (tie, socks, hat, robe make good extras) to begin with, then for each checker you lose, you take off a piece. The double or triple jumps are deadly.

Please take no offense by this but most of our females friends and my wife for that matter are not that good at poker. SO what we do is husbands play while wives are with sitting with us and when male counterpart loses both Husband and wife have to remove an article of clothing. WE go as far as making the husband remove the wife's clothes and vise versa. When all clothes are off one couple they have to preform sex acts for all to see.
