So? The first time he collapsed, directly afterwards, on the floor, and the second time he pointed out that he had been invited, and then asked about the sleeping arrangements.

Surprise is the most that could create, not fear.

She, on the other hand, has summoned ofrth a golem and a fire elemental, thrown him out of a second story window, truned into a dragon and tried to make him extra crispy instead of origional recipe, and then openly threatened him.

My character has what? Begged? Mentioned rape, maybe?

She's shown that she has the power to kill him, and then threatened to use that power.


I mean, of the three females in the WHOLE of the thread, the only one who doesn't have power far superior to Zarl's is a girl protected by some weird sleepless poison toting guy, who seems a bit interested in her.

As far as I see it, Zarl's just barely clinging to the short end of the stick. And her character is AFRAID?

Okay, so she was trying to help, so where does this fear thing come in?

The others, yeah, sure.

But so far she's shown that she can hold zarl's life in the palm of her hand, and crush it or save it as is her will.

That is NOT something you fear.

Hey, Shizura's afraid of Zarl. She might be able to beat him (if he was leering at her during the entire fight or something), but hey, monsters scare maidens. It's a stereotype they both have. So it makes sense to me.... ^_^

Well,....I guess. But she hasn't been out in the world much. How does she know monsters are scary?

Oh well, this has gone on far too long. I don't care. Looking back on it, my tone was a bit harsh. Sorry about that.

It's the way I am. Plus, being antisocial most of my life, I have rough communication skills. That's why I say things like "Wha?" and "huh?" a lot.

Yes I have it mostly done ... just need to change a few things ... I am basing it on a previous character as well as some anime ones.

Just as a note:

Humans repress monsters because humans are afraid of monsters. I'm trying to make that clear without typing it in bold print, if I can. ^_^

So the human that tries to stab Zarl and the human who shies away from Zarl even if they have friends who would stab him are both feeling the same thing -- fear. Fear of what they don't understand, and can't predict (monsters are unpredictable, if nothing else, and so is Zarl).

Of course, as GM as stated to me before, there are a lot of people in the group who resemble monsters but aren't treated the same way as Zarl. Logan is a human shapeshifter, and Eeve is a human gifted by her totem -- neither are unheard of, and neither are subject to the monster's behavior pattern.

Khadgar's character doesn't seem subject to the same lusts, but that's probably because he's a half-breed, which always messes up their mind. In a way, Khad's character is almost more predictable than Zarl -- simply because Zarl, as a non-human creature, has both periods of deep analysis and deep libido surges.

If there are any questions or notes about how this wouldn't make sense, I'll try to explain... but in reality, I'm just trying to suit the needs of the players and changing the world how I can to do so..

And GM, don't worry about not being accepted. It's only the first night, honey. ^_^

Yeah, but it's a beast to use. It has two modes, but you have to have ultra strength to lift it, plus it slows you down to a crawl.

Try running around as a bad guy or one of the researchers or civilians. Always fun to see the civilians fight their oppressors, though they are a little weak.

i rented it, instaled, and then thought hey.... this full installed didn't it? those idiots!!!!

Well, you have to beat the games straight before the cheats get unlocked. SOme of the codes are fun to play with, but mini mode don't allow you to operate any consoles. You can even make the good guys have a free for all killing spree.

GM pointed out that Eeve might not be affraid of Zarl because she has led a sheltered life and wouldn't know enough to be affraid of monsters.

Allow me to suggest that humans can unconsciously sense the presence of the Void in other creatures, and are instinctively affraid of monsters, because they are affraid of the Void. Thus, Logan, Eeve, and even Khadgar, while clearly inhuman in appearance, don't freak people out as much as Zarl does (or Kevin's beast form).

Jacobo, I don't know if you want people having an inate "monster-sense" like that, but it just seemed like it would work in your world.

Psshh... everyone knows what monsters do to maidens in the forest... no one in this world is too sheltered to have heard THOSE kind of stories. ^_^

I appreciate the idea, ST, but I'd rather have the fear be less rational -- more founded on predujuce rather than any established knowledge. Just for the sake of roleplaying. ^_^

Judging by this, I'd say lurksindarkess is one of those people who says,

"Screw the OOC, I'll just join the thread without consent and give my character whatever powers I want! Whoo!"

I tend to ignore people like that. Just because they didn't ask to join the merry group. And that's just plain RUDE. I prefer the people who at least ask, even if they don't use the OOC.

1)Who knows and no he wasn't in the story before.
2) It is Raen.
3) and yes it is in Shizura's room and if it was going to bite anyone it would be Zarl about now.
