GM, Zarl isn't necessarily deep, he's just smart and self-aware, unlike most Goblins, for example. Anyone with a brain and a bit of insight could figure out that life is damn unfair for monsters.

It basically IS the destiny of anyone who's born with any magic to quest... it's kind of their job... and there are always job risks, so... Shizura's complaint at the end kind of makes sense. ^_^

On the other hand, it is a bit of an excuse for me to see just if this green-skinned, bat-wing bishonen can satisfy Shizura like he claims!

i'm having alot of fun myself, i do like the charechters, i've noticed that Raen is common with a few chars i have myself, or have had, so i can relate to him, it's fun to play it, i'm loving the half insane freak side of things though. even if it does make him nervous and itchy and such. this is good stuff.

GM, i'm liking Zarl, alot. nice work bud.

I was really happy to see peole discussing Kevin in here! I can't wait to get him into a fight. It will be interesting to see what strategies the others come up with to get him to focus on the villains instead of on his teammates.

thousands of years ago there were 4 mythical creatures guarding the world, and they are:

Red Phoenix (Fire)
Blue Dragon (Water)
White Tiger (Wind)
Black Turtle (Earth)

They are the highest form of their respective elementals, with powers unsurpassed by any other.

However, two or three hundreds of years ago they disappeared, and nobody knows the reason.

I would like to create a character who has the spirit of one of the 4 guardians. He is very weak now, but this "spirit" will allow him great potential, giving him a lot of room for growth and advancement later.

How's that?

It's a clever idea, Rayli, only we have shapeshifters and summoners, and "Pheonix", "Tiger", "Turtle", and "Blue Dragon" are probably already totems. So those names would already be taken...

On the other hand, if there are four Great Elder Spirits, representing Fire (heat and light), Water (liquid), Wind (gas and energy), and Earth (matter), all of them superior to the other totems and that were the main senechals of the creator -- that would work, and make sense with the world, too.

If these spirits are trying to maintain a connection to the world, it's possible that every once in a while a character is born with a deep connection to one of the four spirits. In that case, they would have a deep affinity with one element, but only meager skills in the other three. Also, you'd probably have some sort of oracular abilities, for when your spirit speaks to you -- as the spirit is basically a demigod. Besides that, the spirit can't help you, and doesn't know much except for help on advancing yourself in the chosen element -- only the Creator can engage in direct divine intervention, theoretically (it's never happened before).

So, if you're willing to accept that twist on your idea, I'd be very pleased to listen to your idea of a character.

I'd also appreciate it, however, if you would go back and edit your post in the main thread and replace the text with a period (no text, basically), just so as not to interrupt the flow of the story when somebody reads it.

These 4 creatures - phoenix, dragon, tiger and turtle - really exists in ancient Chinese and Japanese legends, so that's why I brought it up.

Since we already have a fire user (Evee) a water/ice user (Shizura), I probably well choose between earth and wind. Since I like tiger better than turtles, I will probably choose wind.

Name: Liosoro
Class: Wind Mage
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Spells: Air Bomb - lowlevel wind spell. enough force to send a massive guy flying through the air
Wind Slice - lowlevel wind spell. can slice somebody far away
Typhoon Wall (hyper move ?) can defend somebody from outside attacks.

He has the spirit of the White Tiger, but he doesn't know it yet. He has very great potential, but he is weak now.

I will have him meet with the party in the forest.

Just edit it to like a period, which is, I beleive, what you were told to do.

Only, though you can have the Wind Elder Spirit appear as a tiger in your mind, don't call it White Tiger, please. Because that makes it sound like a totem. And I don't want there to be any confusion for anyone else who reads the thread casually. Have the being address you as the Wind Elder Spirit, though it may look like a white tiger.

Actually, it's more like everything soft he could scrounge form the destroyed bed piled up than it is a pallet.

And he's used to sleeping outside.
