Pleasure Kingdoms Second Attempt: OOC

Okay, character:

Name: Zarl
Race: Macrai-Itoche
Sex: Male
Age: 23
Hair: Blue
Eyes: Violet with golden specks throughout.

The Macrai-Itoche Species: The Macrai-Itoche, or, as they were reffered to by the humans, the Macite, were a powerful race of monsters. At one time, they had had the best relations with the human species, Owing to the fact that the Macite are the only monster species able to control their urges, and the male Macrai-Itoche dealt with the humans very well (Until a female trader ignored the warnings and tried to deal with them.). Unfortunately, the Macrai-Itoche find it hard to reproduce amongst themselves, owing to the fact that Macrai-Itoche females as damn near the ugliest women on the planet. So hideous are they, that they actually have to rape the MALES of their species!

And, sadly, the one-time tradition of undergoing such a rape to prove you courage was dropped as the all too sensual human females were discovered. Sadly, the race has all but died off, and Zarl isn't that worried about continuing it. Instead, he, like the others of his species, are carefully avoiding the female Macrai-Itoche and hunting tasty young humans, as any males caught, would undoubtably be used to continue the species. (Why anyone would want that is still under question.)

Zarl, Himself: Zarl was borne to a caring mother, and she raised him well (Until puberty, when, realizing how hideous his mother was, he fled in disgust). His father didn't know he existed, and had repressed all memories of Zarl's mother. Yes, it's that bad. Hell, Zarl's father is probably still chained up somewhere in their homelands being used to continue the species. Zarl can play the flute, and keeps a small wooden flute with him. He likes to play the songs of his homeland, of which only one is know to humans, but thinks other songs are interesting as well.

Zarl's Abilities: Like most Macrai-Itoche, Zarl is strong in Fighter's Trance, and specializes in the sword. He has a weak elemental strength, mostly focused into the power of lightning. (His strongest spell, at the moment, is the 'Taser Blade', called 'TaserBlade-Omnihusiro!' which, using the metal of his sword as a conducter, releases just enough electricity to sting like a bitch. Well, he's still low-level.) There are rumors of the powerful 'Lightning Blast Sword of Death and Chick-Amazement', the most powerful spell in the area of sword lightning-combinations to be weilded by his species, but he's more worried about scoring with some maidens. His Lightning Elemental abilites are low, the most noted being 'Thunderball'. An interesting sidenote is that Lightning Elemental spells used on Marcai-Itoche tend to have the same effect as punching them, as they are immune to the elemental aspect of it (But they still feel the spirit of the person attacking them. Therefore, small spells feel like being punched in the gut.)

Zarl's Appearance: His skin is a bright green, naturally, although it hold the inate ability to change colors (with a lot of thought. This ability can only be used twice a day, and was origionally used to help hide them in their homelands, so they could avoid females of their species). But it's usually normal human flesh tones (as chicks don't dig the green look). He wears plain black pants and heavy adventurer boots. His weilds a Copper Katana (for it's conductability, and because it's a cheap sword), which he normally keeps shethed at his side. This is because a large pair of black batlike wings grows from his back. (These are always black, and again, people still question why). Zarl is athletic, liking to impress the ladies, and of course he tries not to wear a shirt (because it's manly, and few shirts fit the wingspan, especially with the males of his species scattered to the winds) but he does own a baggy shirt, mainly so he can pass as a human and deal with crystals to merchants. He also wears a bandana, again, for the manly factor. Although it really ties in the look.

More Macrai-Itoche Info. The Macrai-Itoche live far to the South East, in a deep jungle. There, they have all the developments of human civilization (ie, blacksmithing, and such.). Macrai-Itoche follow the Totem of Deverlota-Itoche, or, in the human tongue, The 'Thunderlord', a powerful demon associated with Thunder magic who gives the Macrai-Itoche their elemental powers. The Macrai-Itoche carefully collect all the crystals of their people, storing them in the Hall of Graves until they are ready to be moved on to their final resting place. Macrai-Itoiche guard their lands well, and while a few wizards have been there with permission, it is hard to gain enterance. The Macrai-Itoche are led by the Elders, Macrai-Itoche who have aged beyond their sexual desires and work towards getting greater power and wisdom.

LOL - Ohhhh now THIS is going to be fun...

Yoshi is basically a nice guy, but Tenryu is going to be thirsting for monster blood. I can imagine some of the discussions in Yoshi's head now.

<Zarl? Kill Zarl? Are you nuts?>
<He's a monster! Do your duty!>
<He's not a monster - Zarl's my buddy! We went drinking last night, remember?>
<Look at the wings!>
<You want me to pick fights with birds and butterflies as well, or just Zarl?>
<Kill him! Kill him for the honour of your blood line!>
<I can't kill Zarl! Jeez - he still owes me five dollars!>

Well, that puts paid to my contribution to the S part of this SRP - looks like Yoshi's gonna have a headache continuously! <jk>

Yes. Hilarity ensues. And with Zarl's constant "Humans vs. People" lectures it will get to be quite deep. Or we could just go for the slapstick aspect.

*Zarl hides behind female party member*
Protect me!
*Zarl gropes said party member*
*Zarl slapped and now has to run again, with guy trying to talk sword down on his heels.*

Ahhhhhhh! C'mon, call it off already! Ahhh!

My char

Name: Evee
Race: Human
Age: 24
Sex: Female
Appearence: Pink hair (natural, yes), black eyes. She stands 5'11". She has a shapely body with her breasts an ample C cup. She usually wears a long black dress that stops about the middle of her calves and high cut black boots along with elbow length white gloves. She leaves her hair long and unbid, leaving it to come down to the middle of her back. On a silver chain around her neck she wears a golden dragon figurine to mark her as a priestess of the Golden Dragon totem.

Background: Eeve was born in one of the Golden Dragon temples located around the world. Her mother was High Priestess of the temple in which she was born, however her mother was not the one to raise her. Her raising was left to the priestess of the temples. As Evee grew up, she was carefully trained in magic and the art of summoning. This task was always easy because thought she had the talent for using magic, she had the odd knack of messing up spells by forgetting a component, phrase, etc. Needless to say, this lend to complications. One such complication was when the priestesses tried to help Evee with her shape-shifting to the form of a Golden Dragon. Once the spell was complete, Evee was dragon, but she messed up when she tried to revert back to human. The only problem was that her tail didn't completely disappear so that she now had a two foot long dragon tail when she turned back to human. When she turned 23, her mother told her to leave the temple and seek further knowledge in the world.

Personality: Evee is friendly and out-going. She is curious about the world, but she does her best to try and not be overly curious. In addition to miscasting spells sometimes, she can often be a klutz as well.

Powers: She is able to shape-shift from dragon to human, and vise versa when needed though she can't get rid of her tail in human form. She is an apt fire mage, as well as a decent summoner. The creatures she is able to summon are often fire-based or from the fire plane. She carries a stout oak stick with a red ruby attached to the tip of the stick in a gold holder. Since she does have a limit to how much magic she can use, she is also trained to fight with the staff as a melee weapon.

Happy everyone's back, and Yoshi sounds great. I was only teasing about the background, JC. I like it all, and I know the thread will be lighthearted, if not downright silly.

Much as I like Kevin, it seems we've got 5 guys to 2 girls. Maybe I should play a girl instead? Whatever will help the story more.

Some questions you don't have to answer right now, but might want to think about. Where do animals fit into the Consciousness / Void paradigm? Are they embodiments of Consciousness, like "natural" humans as opposed to "unnatural" monsters, or embodiments of Void, like "wild" monsters as opposed to "civilized" humans. Or are they embodiments of balance?

What about Unicorns? Are they monsters? Are there any other magical creatures generally thought of as "good"?

See, I like detailed backgrounds!

I'm trying to get LayZ to join for a third girl. I really like Kevin, so I wouldn't want you to become a girl... but if it's necessary, and you don't mind, you can. Still, Kevin will be a lot of fun. ^_^

Well, the truth about what animals are made out of is just as unknown as the truth about what humans and monsters are actually made out of, but most people assume that animals are made from the Consciousness, but simply aren't strong enough to use Magic, thus making humanity the superior race (that and the "intelligence" we flaunt... and those opposible thumbs). The Animal Totems, on the other hand, are the best of the species, and can use Magic. Otherwise, summoning them wouldn't really be helpful. Unless you were hungry.

Even so, summoning Duck won't help you that much no matter how much magic he uses. Most people like to stick with the badass animals, the legendary creatures, or the big monsters (if they agree to join).

Speaking of which, the "legendary creatures" are heroic non-humans that supposedly helped humans win against the monsters back in the day. There are a lot of legends and stories (most contradictory), but most agree that long long ago, the humans were losing, but when the strongest Summoner alive sacrificed her life, she managed to summon the Human Totem, the Mother Goddess, who brought the legendary creatures to fight the monsters.

These creatures include the Unicorn, the Pheonix, the Coatl, and the Golden Dragon, among others I just can't think of. You know. The "good" ones. "Good" as in they kill monsters instead of humans.

The original legendary creatures left to become the Totems (and they are well-sought by many Summoners... many of the legendary creatures have temples devoted to them, as I believe I wrote before), but some left offspring. Thus, actual unicorns and pheonixes are rare, but they exist, and sometimes team up with humans if they feel like it (or you meet the qualifications, i.e., you're a pure maiden for a unicorn).

I think that all works.

Well, speaking for the 'raping and pillaging' "monsters" of the world, we need at least three females. Not that a few more wouldn't be helpful as hell.

Yeah, sure. The 'good' monsters. And why are they the 'good' ones? Because they bow down and serve humanity? Pfffft. You arrogant humans.

Yay! Eeve the legendary creature! Utterly cute as always.

So wait. Is Eeve an actual Golden Dragon, or a human summoner trained under Golden Dragon, thus acquiring some traits of the dragon? Because, you know, the second idea might be more appropriate. Thinking about it is what made me come up with the anthropomorphism idea in the first place.

I realize that Eeve was an actual Golden Dragon in the previous game, but I've been thinking about it, and a young human with shapeshifter powers based on focused summoning training might be more appropriate. I want to try to keep the legendary creatures very rare. For example, if you took my idea, there might not even be a real golden dragon in the Golden Dragon Temple. The Totem, the archetypical golden dragon, may just be worshipped there, bestowing dragon anatomy on those who are entrusted to the temple and engage in the rituals.

It's your call, of course, hun. The last thing I would want to do is try to make you a character you wouldn't like... I'm just the kind of person who gets paranoid about starting power levels and continuity. ^_^

And does Eeve really look like Lulu? I always thought of Eeve as looking a lot younger. ^_^

ok, here is my guy

Name: Seth Blackwind
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Description: 5’9”, 165 lbs. Raven black hair worn long in a loose ponytail, and ice blue eyes. He is wearing black trousers and boots, with a dark blue silk shirt. His cloak is black also, and he wears a black leather vest. His weapons consist of a bronze shod staff of ash, and a fine steel dagger.
Occupation/skills: Seth is trained in the areas of sorcery. He can use all the elemental magics, but is strongest in earth and fire. He has also been trained in herbs, and can fight with knife, sword, and staff (he prefers the staff).

Background: Seth’s story begins about 2 months before he was born. His parents were a young couple very much in love, and excited about the birth of their first child, but tragedy was about to fall upon them. While out walking one evening, a lesser Demon, a form of Incubus, fell upon them. Adam, his father, was slain instantly, and soon thereafter Lillana, his mother, was in thrall of the foul beast. That explains why the village blacksmith found her in the embrace of the beast, and was able to slay it while it was it was feeding off her. When the creature died, no crystal was found. Two months later they found the blood red crystal when Lillana’s son was born. It was embedded in his body over his heart. Other than the crystal, he was a healthy baby boy. Seth’s childhood was normal except for two things. He could sense when others were having very strong emotions, and he could somehow feed off those emotions, almost like getting a full nights sleep in an instant. Puberty changed that, big time.
During his training as a mage, his urges grew, and he learned that unconsciously he could sway the emotions of those around him. Unfortunately, the only emotion he can affect is lust! (Well, it was an Incubus that attacked his mother, & they feed on lust & sex). Over time, he has learned how to control this power, but he is a young man and sometimes his urges manifest outward. Two months ago he completed his apprenticeship, and he has been traveling since then seeking his place in the world.

Interesting ability there.

Yes, yes, this is going to be most interesting.

Question though: When you say he can sway people's lust, does that just mean he can make people feel it, or can he dull down the emotion, too?

*Realizes the weapon-like potential of this ability*

Great work, AW. ^_^

But that's a good question, Zarl. It'd certainly be interesting if he could make people less lustful, too.

Though, considering that the power comes from an Incubus... that might not be the case. ^_^

well, since he can't really control the ability, & it is pulled from a monster, I'd say that he can only inflame it, not dampen it.

excelent, now we can kill onstars by causeing so much blood to run to their nether parts, that they will either die of blood loss to the rest ofthe body, or have their parts explode, and die of blood loss that was. excellent work AB

Actually, good point, ST. Once everyone finds out how Kevin's werewolf form is activated, Seth will be able to activate it at will.

Of course, then no one will be able to turn it off. But... oh, well.

Looks like it's going to be a very interesting group. Oh JC... just a quick note.. I made it where Logan does know about his changing, easier to play that way and stay involved and he may not be as innocent as he seemed in the first try for this, just might act that way though. ;) Can't wait to get started, should be fun.

Hmm, was thinking . . .

We have so many of the same characters back agian. It would be nice not to have to go through all the getting-to-know-you stuff again, but get straight into action.

What if we picked up from just after the group dropped Hotaru off wherever she needed to go. Anyone who's not around this time (the archer and the guy with the ferret, I can't even remember their names) stayed with her. The rest of us stayed with Shizura and are heading for the Wizard's college. Along the way we meet Yoshi and Seth.

That way most of us already know about Logan and Kevin's transformations, and that Zarl is a "civilized" Monster. We already roleplayed all that stuff once, let's do new stuff now.

Just a suggestion, JC. I can see good reasons for starting fresh, too.

Suits me fine, but then I'm a new character, so I don't have any history at stake here.

I take it you'd just be assuming that changes made, for example, in Eeve's char, were like that all along and carry on (in best TV series tradition!).

(Hey, wasn't Yoshi blonde last series? - <jk>)

hey, I could be heading back from the wizards college
(why in the hell tho are there always so many marrages when I leave a town?????)

Taking up about where we left off sounds good to me as well ST, or starting fresh either way works for me.
