Pleasure Kingdoms Second Attempt: OOC

Hmm...

The thing is, there was a mini-quest I was going to start before things even went beyond the first town. Unfortunately, VBabe brought in her side-quest and the whole bridge thing and, well... we didn't get anywhere at all.

Also, Hotaru's destination was beyond the Wizard's College.

Well, if people don't want to roleplay the meetings all over again, then maybe we could just start at the inn in the evening, after everyone's just met. People have met each other and know about Eeve's tail and Kevin's transformation, but relationships haven't quite been sorted out yet (the lack of three characters might change things). I think we managed to get that far without any mishaps. We can just assume that any interactions with Hotaru, Shard, or Raen just didn't happen (I still remember their names ).

That would be an appropriate time for Seth and Yoshi to make entrances. Thus, we'd be basically skipping Shizura and Kevin's meeting, and Logan's meeting (so he'd probably be in the stable), and... how did we meet Zarl? I forget. Oh well. ^_^

On the other hand, you know, it might be fun just to start over from the very beginning. Try things a little different. Change your character a little. You know, as if the first time was a practice run. Because that's what I was thinking in the beginning.

Okay, so we have these two options. Personally, I think I'd prefer starting over completely, but if you guys want to overrule me, feel free. I'm open to suggestions.

Zarl met after two characters who aren't here any more and wouldn't be there then affected what he was doing.

...Which means I'd have to write a whole new enterance based on meeting you all,.....which, considering my character doesn't go into towns normally, would involve me waiting until you all left.

Or, writing nonsense.

I vote for starting over.

I did have something planned, and it was going to add a new dimension to the plot. I think I only told GM about it though, because it had to do with the Void (bum bum bum).

And even besides that, skipping ahead does add a vague chapter to the story. Better to remain knowledgable of everything that happened.

So Zarl can complain about his previous mistreatment, if for nothing else.

And, anyway, starting over anywhere in the old thread seems a waste because of the constant going back and forth between old thread and new to understand things, especially with characters gone and entire sections of posts and conversations now meaningless.

Hey yeah that would put Logan back in the boring old stables... And starting over might be a good idea, let the original cast have little changes added if need be. Might be a better idea. I just can't wait for it to be decided and to get started. I'll add one for starting over.

mychar couldn't go half way through. either evyone knows him, and the confort isgood, or no onew knows him and he's totally wired.

they way i had it was shizura and logan had a not too bad level of comfort around, but everyone else was "spooky"

i donno how it would work.

so.... either farther in with the story, or starting over.

Hahah. I replied to GM's convoluted post, then he edited, so I edited, and now he posted to my post before I edited. I love the OOC.

Anyway, the point is, we at least have to reintroduce Zarl differently. And he doesn't normally go into towns. And since we meet him fairly early on, we might as well just do the whole damn thing over again.

And I don't want to have to refer to the old thread. ^_^

Besides, If I have to wait for all this to happened before my cahracter can even meet you all,....

You'll have to explain everything to him anyway! It'd probably be more fun to start over and have your characters meet differently, have a little more fun with it, than to start out at some vague point where you're stuck between two threads and having to explain it all anyway.

Alright. It seems like starting over is the best idea, from what I've heard. Let's wait until ST gets back to see what he thinks of our points.

Man. I can't believe none of the girls I invited have PMed me back. I'm starting to feel unloved, y'know.

However, ST offered to play a second, female character. I wouldn't want him to get rid of Kevin, but he has an idea for a female elf -- and I don't think we have any fae right now. So that might be fun. If nobody minds ST playing two characters.

I'm sure I can get someone else to join, though. There's got to be somebody out there who likes me. ^_^

I have nothing against ST playing two characters. I have no problem with anyone playing more than one character, in fact they can play as many as they want as long as they have a way of not getting everyone else confused on who is who in thier posts. I can be difficult, I know... I am having to take on 3 characters in another thread, and it gets hard sometimes.
So it's fine with me.

Oh and JC I am sure you're loved alot, it's just I find weekends are super slow for people to be on to read or even post.

I am also trying to get someone else to join... I might need to prod them a little harder... and resort to threats. *Chuckles* but I'll see what I can do.

I know what you mean, GM, but I think we do need more female characters. LayZ replied and said that she's very interested but she'll be gone this week, so she'll read the thread and think of a character in the meantime.

I don't think we need any more male characters, though, unless someone in the off-chance happens to come on with a really good idea for one.

I work full time now and I'm on dail up for a bit until I can get my cable modem back.. which might be a couple of weeks. But I won't be posting as much as I like too.. but I will still do my best to be an active part of the storyline

Hey GM, spooky quote you have there, since I'm going to Holland myself on Wednesday and everything WILL be in Hollish.

However I'm starting the grand tour today (Monday AM GMT) and not returning until Thursday PM (again GMT) - so if you guys get everything together and start early in the week, then Yoshi will not be there to be met!

So, I'll have to join up with you later - probably on a windswept road in the mountains.
