Update

My phone rings at 10:30AM, 2 hours after I go to bed.

Me: (groggy) "Hello"
Voice: "Hellllllooooo" *mumble mumble*
Me: "Hey baby, are you alright?"
Voice: "Yeaaaahhh, I'm Okkkkaaaayyyy" *mumble*
Me: "Wow, you sound stoned!" :)
Voice: "Yeah...they gave me lot's of drugs..."*unintelligable*
Me: "Is everything OK?"
Voice: "Yeah, I'm fine." *unintelligable*

So I guess she's OK. :D I should know later today when the Percoset wears off a little. Now we have to start the 28 day wait to see if the surgery was successful. Cross your fingers. Thanks for the nice words of support. She was really nervous (far more than she let on). This kind of surgery isn't easy for a woman (and pretty much impossible for a guy ;) ), and the kind thoughts were most helpful.

I hope it all works out :D

Has anyone said what the procedure was for? Or are we avoiding that discussion?

She hasn't asked to avoid it, but I was trying to hint without saying it (just because I'm a guy  ). It's a female problem, so I'll leave it at that (unless she wants to discuss it). This is her last resort (electric shock therapy). If it doesn't work, they have to start cutting at her ovaries (which is more dangerous and can effect her moods on a permanent basis). :(

Hey, Des;

Sorry I missed this yesterday. Haven't really been around Lit except for late at night lately. Wish I would have seen this when it went up. Anyway, I'm glad the surgery went well, and hope Kiten won't need any more.

My prayers to her for a speedy and complete recovery. :)

The doctor actually expressed a concern for her health due to blood loss (she is pretty tiny). He put her on regimen of pills to cause her to have 4 a year, but after 2 months she had one so severe that she couldn't get off the floor for close to an hour (and she should have gone to the ER...*stern glare*). This is her last resort (electric shock therapy). If it doesn't work, they have to start cutting at her ovaries (which is more dangerous and can effect her moods on a permanent basis). :(
Yikes! Hysterectomy! In 1985 my dear, sweet wife had one of those...they found lumps on her ovaries...she hasn't been the same since.

As long as she was taking her hormone pills, she was fine. But every time she would read some article on those pills causing breast cancer or some other malady she would stop taking them.

Over the past 20 years she has gone through menopause twelve or thirteen times. :(
