Prayers and thoughts for Kiten

Hey S-Des - send some nice pats and tickles to the poorly Kiten and have a great big bear hug just for you, because it's not easy having someone you love go through procedures, however 'minor'...

Hey, Des;

Sorry I missed this yesterday. Haven't really been around Lit except for late at night lately. Wish I would have seen this when it went up. Anyway, I'm glad the surgery went well, and hope Kiten won't need any more.

My prayers to her for a speedy and complete recovery. :)

I missed it too... ditto...

hope you're back to purring soon, kitty-girl...

the next stop wouldn't be a fun one :(

Here's hoping the surgeries stop here! :rose:

My phone rings at 10:30AM, 2 hours after I go to bed.

Me: (groggy) "Hello"
Voice: "Hellllllooooo" *mumble mumble*
Me: "Hey baby, are you alright?"
Voice: "Yeaaaahhh, I'm Okkkkaaaayyyy" *mumble*
Me: "Wow, you sound stoned!" :)
Voice: "Yeah...they gave me lot's of drugs..."*unintelligable*
Me: "Is everything OK?"
Voice: "Yeah, I'm fine." *unintelligable*

So I guess she's OK. :D I should know later today when the Percoset wears off a little. Now we have to start the 28 day wait to see if the surgery was successful. Cross your fingers. Thanks for the nice words of support. She was really nervous (far more than she let on). This kind of surgery isn't easy for a woman (and pretty much impossible for a guy ;) ), and the kind thoughts were most helpful.

:rose:

That sounds good, sort of :D
Four weeks is gonna be an eternity. Fingers crossed it's all good at the end.

Thanks V. I wouldn't compare myself to her in this situation, but I am very worried (not to mention feeling quite useless here). It really sucks that she has had so many medical issues (most that she's never discussed here). Like I said, she's a wonderful person and an amazing mother and I get so frustrated at what she's already had to deal with. Bad things shouldn't happen to good people.

I spoke with her several times today. She's pretty miserable, but her family is really taking care of her. I was under the impression that it wouldn't be this bad, but I hate to pepper her with questions about it. Hopefully the worst will be over tomorrow or the next day. Then the waiting starts...

Patience and strength, my friend. Patience and strength.

I'm hoping she'll be up to checking in some time today. I think it will give her a lift to see all the well-wishes. When I talked to her earlier, she was really too out of it to talk about much. She doesn't like taking drugs, but the pain was so bad that she didn't put up a fight about it in this case (and even with them she was very uncomfortable). Of course her ass-whipe ex took this opportunity to blow off the kids again, leaving her with the responsibility. Thankfully, her family is making sure everything is getting done. I'd still be happier if she didn't have anything to worry about except relaxing and getting better.

First of all, I know it's a little late but DL and I give our strength to her. Wish I would have known about this before, then again I haven't been around much recently and only checking subscribed threads. Anyways...

I know how Kit feels about not wanting to take pain meds, I'm the same way. There was only one time that I took them, when I had my kidney stones.

Send her hugs and snuggles from DL and I, hope she recovers soon.

reading between the lines

Kiten,
Having been there done that and everything in between, I wish for you a total healing. Whether with parts or not, nothing can remove the essential truth of you.
I will hold you in my prayers (pagan as they are), send the angels to lend you peace, and the goddess to keep you safe.

Drink red raspberry leaf tea to balance the endocrine system, take evening primrose oil for healing the wounds, and ginseng and ginger to cleanse from the chemicals they must use to do what they must.

REST. We'll keep the lights on...

A perfect stranger who cares.......... :rose: :rose: :rose:

I missed this, darlin'. I've only been doing a few drive-bys in the last couple of days. I pray the surgery was a success and you don't have to proceed to the next step. :rose: Gentle hugs and hopes for a swift recovery. :rose:

Been offline, but she knew I was thinking of her and worrying...glad to hear it went okay...Get better and back here soon Kiten.

Des-you're a good supporter!

Good to see you kitten. With any luck this is the worst of it, which means "Grey skies are gonna clear up! Put on a happy smile" :D :nana:

I hope the procedure was a success and you don't have to worry about moving to the next step. :rose:

Glad to hear all went well! Again, me not checking the boards as often as I should...  :rose:
