Prayers and thoughts needed.

Please direct some good healing energy my friend Cate's way.

Cathleen, please listen to what the doctor tells you to do. Or my healing energy will rapidly turn to bullying.

Done! And yes, please Cate, listen to the Dr or else we'll kidnap all your chocolate!

Seriously, please take good care, my friend.

Oooh please do listen, Cate! I hope everything will be ok. I will be keeping you close in prayer. Thank you, Beeg for posting this!

Thanks everyone, I'm home and feeling lots better.:rose:

Mrs.BG seems to enjoy giving the impression of my, shall we say exuberance of opinion, might mean I wouldn't listen to my doctors but I do listen...it'd be true to say they listen too.

I appreciate all prayers and good thoughts, they help.

Sorry I saw this late but glad to hear you're feeling better Cate. And btw listening to your doc isn't the same as following their directions. ;)

I just found out that a friend of mine lost her son this past weekend. He was only 23......

Please keep S lifted in prayer as she tries to live through this nightmare.

I'm so sorry to hear this. :rose:

Losing a child is every parent's greatest nightmare. So very sad.

Thanks, ya'll. I briefly talked to her yesterday and she's coping about as well as can be expected. Fuck, I hate feeling helpless.

Very unfortunately, there are no words that will make this better for her. All you can do is be there for her, and let her talk if she wants to. Just being there is so appreciated. My friends lost their son 9 years ago, and I know the mom is very involved in Compassionate Friends. It's given her a way to channel her grief, and has helped a lot.

You're a good compassionate friend, MissDora. :) :rose:

My sympathy to your friend bailadora.

A colleague of mine lost her husband from a heart attack last week, the funeral was Thursday. It was totally out of the blue. Their son is just so confused about it all and expects to see his Dad 'very soon'. :(

Thanks. Today was bad, bad, bad...but within what the doctors are expecting. My Grandmother had a stroke and her alzheimers seems to be rapidly declining her mental state...it's hard. She's more like my Mother than my Grandma. The only good is how our family is coming together to help her and my Grandpa. And her doctors and nurses have been really awesome so far; rather unlike other medical threads around these here parts. I'm very thankful for her care.
I'm very sorry to hear that. Grandmas are special.

If you've got a few please send them Possys way, her Dad has taken a fairly bad turn in the last few months, alzheimers and dementia being the least of his problems. He now has pneumonia.
We are heading off to see him tonight as he is in a bad way, some prayers or thoughts as is your wont, to make this as easy as possible for all concerned would be greatly appreciated.
