Why didn't you force the appearance of the Director immediately? Or were you able to get him the pain relief requiered? At least so you would wait. I am adding more prayers for the two of you!!

I unwrapped it and rewrapped it and raised it a bit and he finally quit shaking and settled down enough to get some rest.....I almost broke though because he was hurting so bad... his last few days when he was in the hospital he asked me to try not to cry and I've done good until now.....

Cats I am so sorry that the two of you are having to go thru this like this. I got the email and thanks.

Get on them hot and heavy in the morning. Don't let this happen. I am afraid that they are going to have to do surgery on the arm before it is all over with. I would like to make the suggestion that you also call his doctor about this incident as well. Let the doctor also chew up some asses.

Always remember that doctors are not gods. Temper what they tell you with your own judgement. You be sure that anything and everything which needs done, GETS DONE.

If my ex-wife had listened to what the doctors were saying, I would:

1) Not have the use of my right arm because the doctors did not see any reason to fix a permanent "vegetable's" appendage.

and

2) Have received a permanent tracheotomy and be speaking with a voice box.

You are right. The Nursing staff often knows more than the Physicians. After all, they deal with a specific patient all day & night.
