Pretty Little Pit Fighter

He finished his meal and saw the look of confusion on her face.
"I think now it's time to explain what's going on."
He ushered her to the library.
He pointed to a chair for her to sit and he sat while he continued.
"I have been watching you fight for the last 6 months. No. I don't want to buy you or aquire you as my fighter and start you in my own fight club. QUite the contrary.
I want you to stop fighting all together. Here, you will live and exist while you catch up to society. I want to show you how to survive without fighting physically. By fighting with your mind. So, no fighting, you don't need to worry about anything. All will be provided for.'
Any questions?"

So what you want me to stop doing the only thing I know and am good at for you? For what? Some bet you can change someone... end up with a little "show horse" success story of how you reformed some poor lowly little fighter into some society idiot.

She sat there unsure of this and having learned long ago not to trust anyone's motives even people she called friend or "family".

No not at all" He said.
"I have lived too long alone to really say i've contributed to something. You're not going to be my conquest or a bet or some little show horse as you so put it. I want to do this for you because you don't know who you are anymore. I want to help you find out who you are.
And my dear, when you're done, that attitude of yours will allow you to be anything but a society idiot."
He smiled gently. He saw her unease at the whole idea.
He pondered a way to make her feel more comfortable but felt that that was going to be a difficult task.

If I can't remember my past... must not be that grand of a thing... She shrugged. So why me... they have others in those pits who need more help than I do... why not them?

She relaxed a little not really realizing she was.

"because i've done my homework on all of them and you. You are the only pit fighter that CAN'T remember their past. Everyone else can. But you are unique because you can't. Or won't remember. And yes I could have helped others, and I may yet. But one at a time."

So whats the big deal I don't remember stuff... Must be bad or just not important... you did research you find anything out about me?

She watched him every fiber of her being screaming don't trust this but she was also getting a little curious.

"So you DO want to know about your past?" He asked with the hopes that she would show some concern. The fact she hadn't bolted showed a lot of promise.

Let me guess you didn't find a damn thing... she sat back watching him a tad curious but still finding this all suspect.

Since you seemed to have gone to all this trouble sure what the hell what did you find if anything. She had no doubt that he had not found out a damn thing about her but humor him what the hell

"I did find something as a matter of fact. I found out your original last name. Not much but it's a start. I'll tell you later. Obviously now you don't care about such things. Rest up and tomorrow we'll start your education. Think of this like school but way more fun."
Before he ushered her back to the bedroom he said, we should probably go pick out some clothes for you since you don't have any that seem to fit."
"There's a store that's open 24hrs. it's not much but it has basic clothing. underwear and whatnot for you." As he smiled he didn't know or not if she saw his canine teeth and how remarkably sharp they were. Did she suspect anything?

She shrugs and wandered back to her room

I guess we can take a look... and no I don't care to know.

He saw her remark about not caring and tried to stay calm. It's only your past. He wanted to shout. Why don't you care. But he remained calm. They drove to the store where he urged her to pick out some things that fit more appropriately. "Don't worry about the price, buy what feels good." He urged her.
"I'll be waiting in the music section." And he left her be.

Shrugging she wandered through the clothing area mostly dresses here and she was not comfortable with stuff like that. She sighed and looked to one of the sales ladies who was eyeing her with suspision.

You gonna stare then come help me find whatever you people think I absolutely have to have.

She sighed wanting to get back to the pits and was so tempted to run... why didn't she?

The lady looked like she was going to die by having to help her. The clerk approached and asked “May I help you with anything? You seem to be looking for something.”

She hated the way this woman looked down her nose at her and with her benefactor or whatever the heck he is wandering off leaving her on her own to deal with this crap.

Yeah... Apparently my jeans and t shirts ain't good enough for people so he wants me fixed up like some damn show horse... think ya can help?

"Well he's right. The jeans you're wearing are in shambles. Do you prefer wearing the jeans and t--shirts?" She asked sensing dresses are not in this woman vocabulary.
She proceeded to show her to some jeans of the same size and type but just with no holes. Then she proceeded to grab her some t-shirts of various colours. Her hair was a mess and she kept a pack of cigarettes in her shoulder..ew.
He'd seen the man that she came in with before. They knew each other and she knew what he was up to. He'd done it twice before. Different girls. This one was going to be a handful.
"Where is the man who you came in with?" THe clerk asked "Did he mention where he would be waiting for you? Why don't you go get him and bring him to the counter to take care of the bill."

Music department...

She studied the sales person warily.

Yeah... I'l go get him.

Heading over... ready for the bill to be paid

He saw her coming up and letting him know about the bill.
Got a musical preferance before we go?" He asked indicating to maybe grab some music before they left.

Spotting a couple of groups Gotthard and some other European metal bands.

Sure... here...

She shrugged still not sure why this guy was doing this.

He collected the CD's from her and they headed to the check out. He paid the bill and they headed home. He carried her bags to her room and said, see you in the morning. He left quietly and went to his room and slept in his bed. Which happened to be a nice mahogany coffin. He loved the smell when he went to bed in it. It was so nice.

She shrugged and once he was gone... she wandered around debating heading back to the pit. Checking the place out to see if there was anything to stop her from leaving... Psycho dogs... electrified fences or other insanity.

She wandered the house. She found nothing that would stop her from leaving outright. No fences. In fact there was no security system that was that overt. He had one, but it was subtle. Nothing preventing her from running out the front door. She wandered some more and found many rooms each one having some kind of theme. There was a music room, a library, the kitchen, the exersice room., even a crafting room? He crafted apparently. A small workshop. A room full of instruments of all kinds with 2 chairs against the wall for the players. She found one room however that was his and it was locked. It was the only room that was locked.

She shrugged a locked room was was of little worry as she debated heading to the pits to fight again. She was too far out of her element but she knew how to fix that as she left a note and headed back to the pits.

~Hey... Needed to get out... I'll be at the pits... if ya wanna find me... you know where it is.

Shayde~

With that she slipped out the front door and looking around she tried to figure out which way she needed to go to get back to the pits.

An alarm gently went off in his coffin as he expected it would. There were motion sensors along the perimeter of the property alerting him when they ran. They usually did it was just a matter of time. He sighed and gently opened his coffin and quickly searched around and found the note and took off faster than any human could run. He tracked her quickly and found her.
He appeared in front of her and said without being out of breath "Going somewhere? Back to fighting eh?"
