Never tire of it but it does take a lot of time unless confined to just binding hands and legs, and unfortunately time has been limited of late...hopefully soon that will change and we may have some new volunteers as well!!

I normally use about 10 meter ropes, about 30 feet. However the longer the rope you start with the more difficult it is to do bondage. If you are just starting out best is to start with with about 3 meter about 3,3 feet.

Lessee... 1 meter = 39.36 inches IIRC the conversion correctly from school so 10 meter is roughly 400 inches is 33.33 feet, 3 meters is just shy of 10 feet...

A really nice, complex karada (rope dress) can take 100 feet (30 m) of rope, I normally use about 60ft (17-18m or so) though, I'm just not patient enough to work with the 100' lengths.

For wrist and ankle ties I use 6ft to 10ft lengths, for upper arms I use 15 - 20 ft lengths. Excess rope can be used to make tie-off points for positioning your subject.... *GRINS*

I'll second that as I would love to see some bondage pics from EG. We did a full body harness recently (neck to toes....my first which was so intricate, but one of many he has done in his time), but have to do it again someday when time permits for some pics. LOL, took way looooong to complete so not something which is going to happen often as we just don't have time these days.

ROFLMAO, the miscalculation is my fault as I am the one with imperial and metric experience and so he did ask me for an estimate in feet but as I just am not that particular in these instances, and we always buy our rope in metres both in Europe and Oz, I didn't include the 3.36 inches for each metre...and I also didn't bother when I check edited for him. Think it is time the US went metric.

Not really a bump, but I think it's time to review and get ready for winter indoor sports-hehehe

If one decides to wash/dye and prepare the rope as had been said in these page that it should not have a core.. very true a fellow grp member went out and bought some at a local BIG chain hardware store and bought it because it looked pretty. Multi colors.. once home and the cleaning prep started and out on the washing machins the inner core swelled up more and popped out thru the out nylon casing.. ALL was lost.. but happy ending rope was taken back to store and FULL refund given as defective rope--no Questions asked... dishonest YES

so might be better if we all did more research before hand and beauty is only skin deep it's the core of one that is important

I like "PLASTI DIP" myself a multi-purpose rubber coating and if done correctly can be VERY nice to add to the tips of your flogger dip and hold upside down so it runs toward your fingers and not to the tip that way the end is rounded more like an upside down tear drop not a point that can cut into your subject--soupy

Firstly double the rope, put the doubled end of the rope in the centre back, thread and pull the loose ends of the rope through the loop.
