project 2025... brown shirts and black boots

Project 2025 is the Republican Platform until the GOP takes steps to definitely, publicly, unambiguously repudiate it. Failing that, if you vote Republican in 2026 or 2028, you are voting for Project 2025.
It would help if some RWs on this board would start explaining what provisions of P2025 they reject, and why.

Those beautiful men in white...

I expect a lot of that once it finally sinks in. It took a while for me this morning.

them having been using AI since '22 to identify thousands of people who align ideologically with trump in order to support them

So they likely also have a list of those against them, especially the ones who arent americans, the “enemies within” he talks about.

And a way to point them out, report them, so they can be scooped up.

That’s usually the way it works.

Chilling for all those non americans taking advantage of America, I’d think.

LOL.....this whole thread including OP are some of the most insane "woke" leftist shit I've ever seen.

Butters looks at liberals and see's Nazis.

Why would we reject some COMMON SENSE (de)REGULATIONS???? LOL

That's like asking a democrat what part of warmongering and communism they reject and why...... they can't answer because they DONT.

Ah, okay…. i’m new here, didnt know how bad she was.

Hopefully she has a go bag.

Along those lines, it is time for 74 year old Sondra Sotomayor to step down as a Supreme Court associate justice, Democrats hold the presidency and the Senate and have a short 90 day window to install a young progressive SC justice with Republican shenanigans.

If, God forbid, the Senate falls to the Republicans, Democrats will be forced to compromise with a moderate Supreme Court nomination, which would be catastrophic given the current super majority of "legislate from the bench" conservatives with no respect for precedent.
She might retire now.

She might retire now.
I hope she does. Seriously.

I suspect the upcoming Supreme Court term will be the last for both Thomas and Alito. Thomas is not in good health and Alito's wife went on record saying her husband want to retire, but only if there is assurance of conservative successor.

Trump pretended he never heard of Project 2025, but he’s nominating the people who wrote it to be in his administration. 🙄

The latest is certified crazy person Russell Vought.

The Clown Show Cabinet. 😆

Vought served in OMB during Trump’s first term.

But he's still a Christian Nationalist nutjob. And he did work on Project 2025.
He wrote a chapter entitled “The Executive Office of the President of the United States.” I read it this morning. It’s about 20 pages and I highly recommend it. It starts on page 43.

It essentially contains a high level job description of the presidency with a more detailed description of the job of the OMB.

The chapter emphasizes the importance of ensuring that executive power resides with the president rather than the massive, sprawling web of agencies that exist today that often make policies independent of the will of congress and the executive branch.

It spells out in great detail what the role of OMB is, touching on concepts such as Resource Management Officers, apportionments, pay as you go (PAYGO), performance management, and executive orders (EOs). It also covers the roles and of other offices within the executive branch, including the NSC, NEC, US Trade Representative, Council of Economic Advisers, National Space Council, Office of Science and Technology, Council of Environmental Quality, Office of National Drug Control Policy, Gender Policy Council, and Office of the Vice President.

There’s lots of prescriptive commentary throughout the chapter, much of which builds upon SCOTUS rulings pertaining to the Chevron Doctrine and the Administrative Procedures Act (Loper Bright, Corner Post, Jarkesy, Ohio vs. EPA, and Cargill).

Because the OMB job title includes the word “budget”, it’s often perceived as a finance and accounting job. It’s pretty clear in reading Vought’s chapter that he doesn’t discount the word “management.” This guy isn’t just a pencil pushing numbers guy. He’s going to play a major managerial role in the new administration. As a conservative, I like what he’s written and am very enthusiastic about this nomination.
